How the hell are Madrid able to keep players of this caliber on their bench? They even have a lower wage bill than us.
What caliber?
They just lost Morata and James who didnt want to be on the bench.

Isco, Kovacic, Asensio, that's pretty good caliber to come off the bench

Isco is the only starter caliber at a team such as Madrid, the rest are still young and need to build their way up. The Isco scenario will be like Fabregas' .. unless he plays alot this year, he is going to leave them next summer
Exactly how isnt Asensio starter caliber? Please do tell.
Let us be logical and not emotional. For a player to be a starter caliber in a team like Madrid or Barcelona, the player needs couple of years of solid experience on his belt. Asensio, as good as he is, still needs to continue doing what he is doing in order to eventual become one of the starting 11 in both Madrid and Spain squads
Ofc he has to keep performing to be a starter, thats a given. Im talking about right now, the rising form he has shown is enough for me to give him a starter spot.
Bale has been quite bad in recent months, and he always get an injury every so often. Bale shouldnt start ahead of Asensio just because he is more experienced(or expensive), as of right now, Asensio should take Bales spot. Age shouldnt be a hindrance, if you are good enough you are old enough.
He is good on transition game and great shooter. Quality player. yet way overrated by RM press and foreign press.
He even won't be a Bale. let alone Ronaldo.
Well that used to be the case with barca. Not so much nowLet us be logical and not emotional.
