Matuidi was offside when Verratti shot and he was influencing the play by making the keeper concerned for his health.

Matuidi was down and should have earned a penalty but the ref didn't call it. That partly explains why Verratti shot it.

Horrible from the ref through and through. Doesn't give the pen, doesn't stop the play, and when even Matuidi tried to get him to cancel the subsequent goal, he decided to give the GK a yc for complaining.
