Yea we don't need a rotation CB, we need someone (young or old) that we think can step up to the plate and be one of our starters.
The transfer of Marquinhos, if true, honestly depresses me. Not because we didn't get him, but because he is signing for an overpriced fee within days of PSG already paying 65 million for Cavani...it's just pathetic. Why aren't there LEGIT rules prohibiting this kind of spending...it's also sad that a young player with his whole career infront of him will turn down Barcelona, a team which pays well and has history, to play for some oil club.
Ok guys, we need to be a little bit fair.
Psg's biggest signing in history, cavani, only ranks fifth all time. As a reminder, this is a ranking dominated by real madrid with 3 players in the top 5 (with ronaldo at 94 million!!), and we are 3rd with ibra at 69 million, and that was 4 years ago!! I don't think we, of all people, can complain about crazy spendings. Neymar's transfer ranked 8 or 9 by the way.
Furthermore, you guys know we still owe hundreds of millions in loans to banks right? Less than madrid but still! For years, we have borrowed money we didn't have to cover our spendings, which is how we got some of our biggest legends. How is that fair to anybody else? The only thing we can brag about, is our formation, which is the best. We make our own legends too.
These "oil" teams, as you call them (it's gaz, not oil, for psg, by the way), have the money, and are not borrowing anything. They want to become big teams, and it's normal to spend a lot in the first 3 years. But just as city and chelski are doing,
They won't have to after the have built their team, just adjustments.
We just need to chill, we are still the biggest club out there, but we need to better choose our targets. Our obsession of Thiago Silva for example is gonna screw us big time.
