Martin Braithwaite

He's totally lost out wide and noticed he had to keep an eye on Messi to see where to fill the void.

Good he's producing some end product from better suited positions. Rare to see in this Barca squad.

The first assist was a moment of class.

One of the most hit/miss players I've seen
He was brought for his speed and his constant movement, and was very much needed at the time, even though Barcelona is clearly one or two steps above where he should be.
I was expecting him to be very consistent, instead he sometimes surprises with perfect actions, such as his assists today, and other games he surprises the other way, by being very slow and static.

The question is.. is braith better than griezmann for this Barca?

Braith is 10 times better than Griez for Barcelona. Which is a bit sad, because I was expecting Griezmann to be playing a bit like Braithwaite does, but 10 times better...

The amount of stupidity in this forum is off the charts. Braithwaite is a nice guy, but he's a very limited and kinda mediocre player. He played for a small club called Toulouse in France. Nobody in their right mind ever thought this guy would play one day for Barcelona but here we are. I can't believe it happened and he probably can't either.

Griezmann is a World Cup winner, Euro finalist, multiple year prolific scorer at Atletico and among the top players in the world when used properly, which means as a second striker linking with a true forward, like France did by pairing him with Giroud for so many years with so much success. You may say he's a casting error in Barcelona with Messi still playing his role, but please don't ever compare him to Martin Braithwaite. One is worth 100 million, the other not even 10.

I agree. Comparing Griezmann with Braithwaite is insulting. I know he's had his struggles here but he's still far more useful than Griezmann.

No, your post is the exact type of shit that lead this club to the current situation. Buying overhyped players, buying players just because of their name or just because they won the WC, those are the roots of the failure of this club. I don't give a shit even if Griezmann had won Balon D'or, he is simply not a good fit to this club. Club should buy players that would be a good fit to the team, not because they are stars. This entitled galatico attitude needs to go.

So, the comparison is invalid because of Griezmann's name.
Take the names out and make the comparison.
Braith is a below average player for the better part of his career but he can score a fucking sitter now and then at least.
Griezmann has been a pure disaster in front of goal. And I can only judge him on scorring and defending, because he isn't doing much else.
Braith actualy performed greate give n goes with Messi of all people, who is a genius at those, and he did pretty good. Griezmann hasn't managed even that.

That first half from Braithwaite and Alba was nothing. Zero danger from the left wing. It got much better once Braithwaite played in the center.
