Martin Braithwaite

Not the most technical player in the world, but he has a nice physique, good attitude, gets into chances and can score.

If he'll continue to play well, maybe we'll give up on Lautaro.

Hope so , also Lautaro is shit almost since Barca is connected with him.

So many games without goal and assist in league where immobile scores 30+ every year

If he ends up scoring goals and keeps doing well he should at least get another chance for the upcoming season.

But Moises Llorens said yesterday it seems the club has intentions of selling him in the summer even if he does well.

Wouldn't surprise me judging by how poorly we are managed.

If Braithwaite comes in, contributes and is sold on that is 'poor management'?

It would have been a fantastic signing out of left field even if did sell him on to try and focus more on other areas of team.

All depends on how well he does and what offers if any come in for him.

Yes, if he proves his worth and proves he is an excellent squad player than you keep him. I doubt you can sell him for such a big profit, as to be worth losing a top player who can impact games, score goals, is on low wages and brings many good things to the team.

Cost very few money, shows quality, works hard, is not too bothered about being a squad player, and is on low wages. Basically, he's a keeper and everything a squad player should be.

Selling him would still have been a very good signing and one that club found virtually from nowhere so not poor management.

He is 29 and if he comes in helps and Barca gets money back its a good deal.

May well stay and barely play or drop level again who knows.

If Barca were willing to give up Suarez be all for it but they wont and it would still be a very good deal for club.

Yea well, in my opinion, the best thing would be to keep the players that do well and work hard. If Braithwaite does well he should stay next season no doubt.

Either way the transfer will have been a good one from virtually nowhere.

If he comes in and does well and bids come in they will sell him on and will have been a good deal for club regardless.

Having another 29 year old to add to Messi, Suarez and Griezmann may be a bit much when wont sell others or receive offers.

He is 29 but in a different ballpark physically to our other elder players. That, and with a lack of toplevel mileage on his clock I think he can maintain this kind of [physical] level until he is 32/33 (a full 3 or 4 seasons more).

No need to sell him right now as he brings a different profile the squad needs. Now, if we get a good offer and can reinvest that into a younger, better version of Braithwaite (no idea who is out there) then go for it. But if we're using the proceeds to fund another template midget or out of position 100m man then it is a no from me.

Didn't realize about the CL thing. That's a shame. He could really have helped us either as starter or super sub. Anyone with that level of speed, aggression, and attacking intuition is really useful in a more intense competition like CL where soft guys like Coutinho or Rakitic who play with 0 aggression/intensity tend to fold.

And even if we somehow do win it this season, it sucks he wouldn't get to be a part of it.

Don't be silly lol.

At this point, there really isnt anything silly about it. Lautaro has half a mediocre season under his belt. Not sure what most of you are smoking regarding wanting to sign him. He's shown almost nothing.

Griezman is a great player, but like most players we sign he's turned into this scared little girl and is also played out of position.

I rather see Martin in the staring line up than both of them.
