Since when has Barca made any real money from selling youngsters? It would be so typical for us to let him go for free. I wonder what has happened with him, since he was highly regarded as a future prospect in spring. Offer him a contract asap and then slowly bring him to first team.

I doubt Spurs are following though. They have Walker who's and exciting youngster and is doing well and then Corluka is a very good player too

Thing is that he will probably not get regural minutes in next few years unless Alves gets himself injured. Best thing for he's career would probably be a transfer to some other club. I would personally want to see him send to Gijon, Getafe or another mid-table la liga team on loan and after next season to come back and really challenge Alves.

Ideally, he'd go on a loan transfer sorta like Bojan or Romeu...but he can't just go for free...Kid has a future
