Ever thought about the possibility of a poor club in a weak league, trying to fool big clubs by making a youngster famous like that? Not saying Odeaard would be that kind of youngster, but think about it in general:
You take an ok talented player who shines because of his technique. You promote him to the first team, and tell him that he can be the next star.
You tell him stuff about his greatness, make even himself believe he is the best 15 ear old in the world, boost his confidence that much so that he doesnt feel intimidated to show off fancy footwork on the pitch and get noticed by that.
You tell his teammates, that they should pass to him a lot to let him participate a lot in the game (like when you are playing Be A Pro mode on FIFA and always ask for the ball to score goals by yourself and get great amtch grades) and he will get used fast to playing with adults..
That way he looks like the most awesome teenager around, while hes actually just a technically good but not-that-awesome youngster who plays in the world of adults and everyone will say "whoa this guy is the next big thing" and at some point you sell him off, to someone for like 50m+. Youre match performances might dip a bit in the progess but the fee at the end makes up for it 10 times.
You basically "force him" to look better than he is.
This is not related to the case of Odegaard here, but generally speaking that would be quite a sneaky way to get lots of money. Just look at how everyone orbits this guy just for the reason that he is a 15 year old who acts that premature.
