We aren't exactly an example for promoting youth lately, are we?

Promoting?we have promoted everyone tbh,Tello/Cuenca/S.Robertoa/Montoya/Bartra/Thiago and even JDS all was promoted and most of them got fair chance to prove themselves .some didn't get enough time considering the team need of them like Montoya/Bartra ,sThiago deserved more minutes but that was special case as we didn't even have a coach during that season with Tito (RIP) illness
The problem was not developing Barca material player, only Thiago made it <Bartra is bench player that some hope he can be Barca level starter ,but the chance was there IMO.the quality was the question

When your club is at the peak (or at least around that time), you dont bring up a whole generation fo youngsters, simple as that.
There are two phases of a club with great youngsters: One when it's in a crisis and desperately needs a new fresh face of a bunch of complete new guys on the scene and theres not too much money (thats what Milan or Inter would need right now) and one when the team is full, when the team is competing for everything and there is no time and space to give youngsters a REAL chance and not jsut some short caps. Thats what Barca and Bayern have right now. You cant bring in youngsters and bench a star worth 40-50m.

All the Lahms, Iniestas, Xavis, Schweinsteigers, Busquets, Müllers, Kroos, Messis they came up at times when there there was not too much competition in the team and it wasnt all that dramatic to bench usual starters for new faces.

Nowadays most teams are traning their youth on loan rather then give them respectable numbers of caps. Integrating Youngsters in top-teams is almost impossible nowadays, the small clubs have to do the education

Wait, what? I mean what? seriously man? Messi was promoted and earned the starting place when he was 18 in the team that won Liga&CL,with a starting front line that won 2 Liga and 1 CL ,Giuly was no joke back then man, earning a starting spot from him at that young age was a big deal,he the opposite of what you are saying and a clear exception
Iniesta also might have been debuted with 1st team in crisis ,but he he played only 26 games in his 1st season,he wasn't really rotational player in 1st team until 2004/2005 season ,we had gr8 team that year
Busquets and Pedro both promoted in Pep dream team too

Like I said before, if he is to play at Barca then it would be at Juvenil A and then gradually up if his development goes well. As for him ending up like Balo or Bojan then his work ethic is good and he got his feet well planted on ground.

Although you never know with these talented players and how they end up, I think Martin can go on to have a good career if he makes the right steps.

The world doesn't have a great track record for predicting future top players at the age of 15. Generally past U17 players who were considered the best at their time become completely irrelevant and unknown later in their career.

I wouldn't get your hopes up over this guy. There's a very low probability that we'll be talking about him in 10 years.

This is true. But if you have 8-10 of these so called "wonderkids" at least one ought to come good on his promise, right?
