I unfortunately agree with you. If it was up to me our transfer window would consist of keeping Alves and buying Kovacic and a new RB. The only other player I'd truely want at all costs as well is Verratti, but he's not available.
I like Pogba but I prefer Kovacic as LM; his price and ridiculous wages are a dagger to the heart. Verratti is the only player out there I'd start over Rakitic at this point.

Didn't Braida confirmed couple of weeks that we are following Kovacic?and we already made a late offer to get him last summer .30M but Inter rejected b/c it was few our b4 transfer window was closed
Honestly it is impossible to know what we really want .we made an agreement to sign that Gerson kid out of the blue .we also don't know who actually make the decision
People act like Braida is the sporting director while he is just an advisor which probably mean he is more of an important scout .we don't know if the final say is for him . words about who Lucho wants are contradicting ,one day he personally asked for Pogba another day for Koke

At least the possibility of signing Kovacic is swirring around in Braida's conciousness, so I haven't given up hope that we might go for him after all. I trust he sees how utterly ridiculous the demands are for Pogba's signature, at least when weighed up against what it would cost and how difficult it would be to bring Kovacic, who has around the same potential but fits our team way better.

I think Braida sees that perfectly, if anything he seems to value youngsters with good projections more, it's the board that's crazy about Pogba, which is the problem ^^

If Braida somehow manages to convince our board to buy Kovacic over Pogba he should become our new sporting director. It's not that I don't like Pogba, but 100mil with 12mil salary gtfo. I see Pogba more as a gamble, could be a wonderful one..but even despite price, Kovacic is my first choice.

Yea I can't believe it or shut up about it. 100mil is so absurd for a MIDFIELDER. Not even an AM/winger, a CM....sigh
I'd be irritated even paying 70-80mil....100mil will send me into complete mania.
