AS has already reported back in April that we had a personal deal with Hummels.

We have more chances of signing hummels compared to thiago Silva last year. Selling club being bvb and him earning very less and the buying club being barca. If we press like we did for Silva and Marcos we will break bvb resolve. Don't care if he will cost 50M it will be worth it, but the idea of hummels and pique troubles me.

First thing, if we offer money like a psg level money they will sell. We are not bayern to not sell us.
Second, he said he would reconsider for 2 or 3 clubs with barca being one of them.
Third, even I dont know.
Fourth, united does not have CL while we have. If we try to sign there is a big chance he might chose barca instead of united.

I read some article the other day that when he was 18 his dad bought him tickets to see united vs wigan at their stadium in England for him and a friend as he liked united and his dad is a big fan of LVG and his coaching so I think his dad could have a influence as well

As a fan of BvB that i follow as much as Barcelona and PSG, i disagree.
If BvB says he's not for sale, they will not sale him even if people here don't like to hear it.

They said it just before winter mercato IIRC, saying that they refused to open talks over a transfer next summer (this summer 2014)
But anyways, let me explain how BvB works since many here seem to not have a single clue:
- BvB refuses to sell when they think they need a player that can't be swaped with a new recruit.
- BvB is always looking to replace players.
- BvB is willing to sell as long as they have a replacement in mind.
- People bring Götze case often but it worked just like it works for years at BvB, they sold Götze because they found a player to replace him.
- In the case of Lewa, they didn't find any successor last summer (2013), hence they refused to sell him even if it meant he would leave for free this summer (2014)
- There's currently no rumor about a successor for Hummels.
- Therefore BvB has no reason to accept to sell him according to how they work and plan things.

2. The case of Lewa is completeley different because BVB knew that he wants to join Bayern. Bayern is a direct rival and therefore BVB kept him as long as possible.
BVB is nut the richest club in the world. They are still known for developing talents and selling them to other clubs when they're great players.
Offer them enough money and convince Hummels to join Barcelona, and they'll have to think about it. If they sell or not is another question but it's certainly not impossible.

Yeah, but in the meantime BvB was assured to have backup in new recruits to cover his loss: Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Aubameyang.
I can tell you BvB has currently no plan to replace hummels this summer.
