He played awesome for an injured player. His sense of anticipation is off the charts. Dominant on the ball and on the air. Just what we need IMO. The speed factor is always exaggerated, the attacking player always has an edge in those 1 vs 1 duels.

Instead of forking out 20m + tax on Mathieu, I'd rather fork out double that to get Hummels tbh. I'm not sure how well him + Pique would work, but getting him would be better than a lot of our other options (again, 20m + tax for Mathieu). But I doubt Dortmund would want to sell. If we try to get him, it'll probably be Thiago Silva all over agian.
