How about Hummels + Bartra the later has pace that is criminally underrated he kept pace step for step with Gareth f*cking Bale while injured but somehow he is considered slow
Kept pace with Gareth Bale, hmm really?
It looked to me he was easily beaten for pace, no?

You looked wrong because Bartra missed the tackle so Bale had a step on him. From that moment Bartra was that one step behind Bale the entire time...that is definitely impressive, I wasnt expecting it. The kid did a good job and has heart, I like him a lot.

Probably. Only way to explain why we aren't even looking at him.

Of course not. They know he exists. They probably even had talks with roma but they dropped it all becaise the price of 40 mil was too much for them and they think he is not worth what roma is asking.

Bale is insanely fast when in top form without any injury niggles or anything which he was that day. No defender would have caught him 1 on 1. What Bartra should have done or any defender should have done in that situation would have been fouling Bale and taking one for the team.

I dont blame Bartra at all. He was inexperienced, but now he will learn from that and come back much stronger next time.

Bartra got injured 10 mins before that and Bale is one of the fastest in the football world.
I'm well aware of his injury. I was merely wondering what game the poster who wrote Batra matched Bale stride for stride was watching. Not that it would have mattered, Bale is simply too fast one v one.

He started running after Bale who had a head start and made it into the box 1 sec after Bale so you can say he matched Bale stride for stride the only problem was that he was injured and needed to catch up to Bale who was already at full speed

Bale had a headstart but Batra kept up with him, he didnt catch him but he ran at the same speed as bale did even with his injuries, if he didnt pull up he might of caught him. Not saying he's faster than bale but Bartra is probably faster than bale if bale is running with the ball. Only people who don't seem to slow down with the ball are Messi and Robben.
