Mathieu? Nope. He costed 20m. 3m from his pocket, so he cost 17m. 39 is Mathieu + Vermaelen cost. Money for playing time and winning the cl is also from Verm's deal. Mathieu's has nothing of the sort.

That's wrong, as others have stated he cost 20m euros, which is still overpaying for him, but that's what it was.

Also, he took a cut in wages as JamDav correctly points out, which played a decisive part in our agreement on the price of 20m, which was in truth too high for him.

That's for Vermaelen. 10M initial fee. 5M for playing time. 4M for winning CL twice. Vermaelen( at full price) and Mathieu together would cost 39M euros. Right now they cost 30M.
