Sorry, I do not believe you. I have been watching the Bundesliga for years now and hardly miss the big games, so I have seen many of his game. Still remember the game we played against Chelsea and conceded that late last minute goal. . . . I can still remember Puyol encouraging the boys and telling them to go on with the game, even when it was obvious we were out! I am Yet to see Hummels in that light. He is not a leader in anyway. A great defender. . . . . But not a leader. Kompany IMO would be the perfect replacement for Puyol. . . . .

Puyol is the leader of the whole team , read my post again ,no one is gonna be a leader as Puyol or even close ,not Hummels ,not Kompany , I consider myself lucky to watch Puyol more than I do with R10 or Messi
In my post I was suggesting he can be a leader of the defense ,not the whole team and not anywhere as Puyol ,Is Kompany a better leader?may be but Man City won't let him go

Maybe I'm being naive but... So uh... if we can't get Hummels, why not try getting either Santana or Dante? Santana is apparently really really cheap. However, I heard he was already bought for next season but I think those are just rumors?

Santana is not nearly good enough and I think Dante is not Barça quality either.

I thought he wouldn't be Bayern quality, either, but he has been the outstanding defender this season, imo. Surprised me a lot.

Santana is good for a team like Schalke but not for Barca.

Dante is not be for sale. He is the best Bayern defender and they are not going to sell him to one of their main opponents for CL..

Though I'd love it if Barca got one of theirs instead of Bayern usually stealing players off the other teams :p

Yeah, I mean I like Bayern and all, but it is crazy how many players from their Bundesliga rivals, are choosing to go and play for them... I hope that Lewandowski won't do the same...

Maybe Hümmels is a better player than Dante, but I really believe that Dante is better suited for our defensive needs. However, it would easier to buy Hümmels I suppose, as Dortmund are a selling club...
