I can understand Tito's reservations (if the press were correct) regarding Hummels. He is class defender but we already have a similar player in Pique. Hummels is kinda slow too and not immune to blunder mistakes. When I think about it he's exactly like Pique and we could use a different kind of player. Preferably fast one since we play a high line.

I think Subotic might be a good option. I don't know much about him, but he works well with Hummels (from what I know), and like you said, Pique is a similar player, so I'm guessing he'd work well with him as well.

Agree with you, i really don't think he'd be the best fit. He's very similar to Pique and maybe a tad better in terms of quality But having them both in a high defensive line can prove to be very costly

Both are terribly slow to get off the mark and we are already vulnerable for counter attacks, so I really don't think he'd be the best solution. We need a quick and strong defender, preferably someone like Sakho or Ogbonna. Hummels is a good choice if they are thinking of ousting Pique, which obviously won't happen.

We need a fast central defender and Hümmels is certainly not that.

Very tough to find a fast CB, in that respect someone like Hoewedes would be thea decent choice, good CB can play as a FB and is quicker than most CBs around

It isn't fake. Just read that he said "Barcelona is amongst the 2-3 teams I'd consider talking to. The rest is blocked by my father."
Doesn't mean much since most players would at least listen to an offer from Barcelona.
