Nah. C Ronaldo was "homesick" for a warmer climate i.e. Madrid. Cesc was "homesick" for Barca., Tevez, Navas, Balotelli etc. Hummels would be only German on the team. I've been over all this before...

This is without taking the "slowness" of Hummels as well as the price tag into account.

They were better career decisions not "home sickness"

Navas was the only one that genuinely had that problem (medical I heard)

I already said what I had to about "pace" and a top quality CB doesn't come cheap.

Subotic was not tasked to mark CR7, CR7 chose to face him as he felt he had best chance against him, Hummels has faced CR7 in group stages and in in the Euro 2012 and Hummels pretty much owned him on all occasions.

I never said they were homesick. I agree thats not why they left. They just didn't like the City. Remember Balotellis infamous I love Mancity shirt? That was a clear indication.

Did you not see the tackle tonight where Hummels tackled Ronaldo so hard that he burst the ball? That's not exactly a pillow tackling now is it?

I said Lewandowski instead of Neymer. So We'll have some one to score when messi is creating chances after chances. To be honest, I don't think we really need wingers. We don't have any tall CF who can head from the crosses made by wingers neither they can produce sufficient number of goals. Alba and Alves/Montoya can provide enough width. If we have Lewandowski in front and messi behind him with Xavi, Iniesta and Cesc in the mid-field, parked buses aren't gonna be much of a problem. I'm tired of seeing waves after waves of attack thru' the wings and then zero penetration to the penalty box.

I don't agree with several of the things you're suggesting, but the one thing that really pops out is the average winger... For the moment we have Villa, Pedro, Sanchez, Tello, Cuenca and Deulofeu (and Iniesta, Messi and Adriano can play there if necessary) AND you're suggesting we should buy a world class winger, then why would we spend an additional 10 mil on an average winger?
ps: buying a world class winger or striker for 20 mil would also be rather hard

About Hummels: does anyone in here watch him on a weekly basis? I know he has the potential to be great, I just wonder if he's performing good enough week in week out.
