Mats Hummels
He previously played for Bayern Munich, but they could not use him.

He came from Bayern's cantera and went on loan north and did not want to come back. Some say out of fear of not getting an starting perch (Breno, Badstuber, etc.) Bayern went out of their way to get him in the years that followed with some funny events in the process. Family's from Munich so there's a personal connection as well.

Watzke just said that Hummels might still stay with BVB next season. That means Bayern will get him for free.

He also said he (along with two other players) might not be eating Pretzels in the Ruhr next season. Given the lack of CL income this season, those coffers might be in need of some serious replenish. Dortmund is a publicly traded company; I don't see a Lewandowski type of walk out taking place here.

If he goes to Bayern then he's a giant cunt.

Why
he is a bavarian
is girlfriend is from munich
for more than a decade he was a bayernplayer (youth)
he is a perfect match for them

Bayern wil pay 3O to 4O millions and everybody will be happy

This transfer is just so annoying and pathetic. If you're going to go, at least don't be a hypocrite about it and spew trash in the months before you make your way to your biggest rival.

The german league is an absolute joke; Bayern can basically dismantle any team they want by snapping a finger; consistently picking off the closest rivals' biggest players and they can't do / won't do shit about it. Pathetic. This is one of the main reasons I dislike Bayern so.

Yeah there's the Bayern dominance and the lack of competition in the past 3 years.
On the other hand there are no recent incidents of double digit results, forced relegations, insolvencies, CL - or transfer bans, or players and staff suing for their wages and all that embarassing circus, so we got that going for us.

Well, the way the league is run and the Spanish federation leaves a lot to be desired. I agree with you on that front. It's one of the main reasons how it can be be home to so many quality teams and players and still lag behind so bad as compared to the EPL in revenues, marketability, etc.

I am talking about the league from a sporting perspective though - I think what Bayern does (and they don't do anything illegal; whereas I think Real Madrid do a LOT of things which are illegal) every season is just making the league worse and to be honest, doesn't look like the other teams would care anyway, seeing how there is no title race to be had as such.

Damn.

That possibility is pretty much obsolete since today's post match reaction by some of the fans on the Süd. Hoeneß and Rumgezicke were fanning the flames the entire week, the fanbase lashed out against Hummels and now he's definetely unsettled. Meanwhile in Munich, they're probably rolling on the floor laughing.

Edit: Also, the fact that Hummels is now intolerable for the fanbase almost creates the necessity for a transfer; which will be noticeable by the final price tag. Süd saving Bayern some money. Great idea.

That's Dortmund for you. World Class fans, superb stadium, great feeder club for Germany's finest. I hope this doesn't happen to Atletico.

A transfer that only made them better. Atletico is so good at selling their players and replacing them with better players while still making a profit. Incredible.

Doesnt change the fact that Barca has began transforming Atletico into their feeder club :arda:
