at juve odds you bet 1 eur and win 3 ?

For ease of explanation, let’s replace the numbers with letters i.e. 4/1 becomes A/B. Here is the calculation:

Probability (%) = B / (A+B).

So,

Juve (1:3) means, = 3 / (1+3) = 3/4 = 75% chance.
Barca (4:1) means, = 1 / (4+1) = 1/5 = 20% chance.

This is what odds mean, in terms of probability.

In terms of winnings,

4/1 means, for every £1 you bet, you will win £4.
1/3 means, for every £3 you bet, you will win £1.

TL;DR : Our odds have bettered, but bookies still expect De Ligt to go to Juve.

The simple reason it had great players back then was because the league paid the most.

Obviously, so what ?

Money has always brought the best players. If Barça was not a rich club, people wouldn't come to play there either. Same with Real Madrid, PSG, PL team, etc.

Juve is rich and benefits from new tax law and can propose great financial offers. Now, we can see how big players are interested in playing for them and in Serie A in general. Maybe in 10 year time, Serie A will be a better league than La Liga due to those high salary offers.

Remember, there was a time British clubs weren't that attractive. Now, even a new promoted club in PL can buy top prospects. Money talks.

Juve only offered 50 Million without bonuses.

Claims negotiations are at a deadlock despite De Ligt wanting Juve.

The article mentions that De Ligt is relying on that agreement he made with Ajax if he stayed for one more season he could leave for around 50 Million euros.

Problem is Ajax demands a lot more than that.

Hard to believe that Ajax agreed with Juventus last summer that they would sell one of their biggest talents for only 50m. That would be very stupid of them tbh.

I think thats what Barto was referring to the other day in the press conference. He probably knows that de Ligt is going to Juve cause of the agreement last summer.

De Ligt has always been a nice and humbly guy. He plays for Ajax since he was 9. And now he's acting like this (against the club who developed him as a player)?

Raiola is clearly brainwashing him. Raiola is like poison. Once you met him, it's already to late. Feel bad for De Ligt.

Raola want to make him the best paid defender. But at the same time, they keep lowballing Ajax. How cheap lol!

Stop trying to paint de Ligt as a victim of Raiola. It is de Ligt and his former agent that went out and asked Raiola for help in this transfer. Not the other way around. And Raiola has become his agent now. That means de Ligt is satisfied with Raiola work.

Anyway, it is coming to an end.

to farmers league it is then.

cash once again is undefeated

You maybe missed the part where Telegraaf said Barça overpaid for de Jong compared to PSG offer ?

Money has been the winner in most cases for decades. Best clubs and best leagues became so because of money. Even a club like Ajax that has a great tradition and a long and successful history is relegated to be a feeder club because of money.

What you call farmer leagues are just leagues with less money. You can't cry on one hand because of money and on the other hand mocking less rich leagues.
