G?ndogan plays in a functioning system and is not better than Puig. You would not bring him up as being in the top.100 half a year ago, which is very telling.Or he simply knows Puig is just like this. A squad player that fits a sub and rotation role.
Anyway, who is other 4 best midfielders in the world accroding to you??? Is Gundogan as good as Puig??? Just wonder.

Yeah Joan is right, Thiago, Verratti and Busquets are probably better. He actually pinpointed the three midfielders where I most recently discovered something similar to Puig. This was 10-12 years ago...
De Jong and Arthur were two I also had high hopes for (De Jong mostly in Ajax and first couple of months in Barcelona, only just now I'm starting to really appreciate him again), but not as much as Puig.
Some other good midfielders are: Kimmich, D.Silva, Modric, but I don't really follow world football so closely lately...
If you repeat this five more times, you will get one for free.Alaves doesn't play in UCL though.
Gundogan in 2021: 9 goals.
Puig in his entire Barca career (including Barca B)in league: 4 goals.
Puig would be dead outside of Barca, that is why he never leave his safe zone. No wonder his performances with U21 Spain are weak.
Deluded. Gundogan had a great game in UCL final 2013. Puig???
From seeing alot of Puig. He lacks the final ball. You could see the difference when Pedri come on and performed two "pases de muerte" to set up chances. But he is perfect to cycle possession and increase tempo higher up the pitch. A hybrid Xavi-Iniesta on a lower quality scale. We need that for certain games and certain situations.
His passing distribution also has to improve as he will play 80% of his passes to the right side (BBZ stat for you there). Those fast intricate passes with Messi were delightful though, not many players in our squad can do that.
I hope he ends up even a quarter as Bobo states, as even that will leave us with a Top20 midfielder in the world.
Puig was 14yo in 2013.
You are showing so much to those that can see by bringing up Gundogan of all players
That quick short passing between him, prdri and Messi was The play of the match for me. The only 3 players who can pass so fast and accurate in out squad.
I don't agree about the final ball, he tried at least three chipped through balls yesterday where one was succesful and two were just short.
His assist to Suarez last year was an example of an even tighter pass than Pedris yesterday, he played some great final passes on the foot early this season as well, and he often chip them over opp.LB Xavi style. He has both the ability and the willingness to play these passes, I think he should calm down just a little bit and stop forcing it but let the passes show themselves, as Xavi did.

I'm not always sure what your or vegitots arguments are. I usually see why you'd think one way, but your conclusions are strange.'Puig was 14 in 2013' may be one of the greatest deflections ever seen on these shores.

Frankly I think you two show too low of a understanding of the game, and are maybe too stupid to even attempt to see what is cause/effect
What is the point that Gundogan scored in a final 8 years ago, being 23?
Maybe Puig scores in a final in 2 years and in another 10 years you will be on a forum trying to argue that he was always so, so great?
Puig didn't assist Suarez. Fail as usual.
