Koeman actually gave him the most minutes out of the last 3 managers lol, Setien kept Riqui in the B team most of the time (apparently playing 500 minutes in a season is a starter now) Valverde did the same and gave 200 minutes, Riqui actually played 600+ minutes last season with Koeman

And he wasnt very good in them either, if he had been better he may have had more playing time

500 minutes in half a season in La Liga with Setien vs 281 minutes in a full season with Koeman. If we apply basic maths, this translates to about 1000 minutes in La Liga under Setien (that's good squad player numbers), vs 281 minutes with Koeman (that's bench warmer numbers). That's nearly 4 times more.

That's if you want to compare apples with apples.

No CL mins and barely any Copa minutes. When you play as little as Puig has done those minutes matter (and Setien didn't call him up for the QF against Athletic or play him in any important CL games anyway, he actually sent him back to the B team a few times).

5 starts overall from January to August and one was against Ibiza. Not really a 'starter' was he?

Understand Setien came in during the season but it isn't that much playing time to be a massive difference and some crazy difference between Setien and Koeman. This whole thing is just about how Koeman called a GK instead of Puig, because Setien did not trust him that much either and Valverde didn't at all.

Setien came after CL groups, it was hard for a new player to walk into CL knockout games. He's no level Messi talent to do that.

Puig wasn't a starter under Setien, sure, but he was a youngster that he gave regular chances to. 500 mins in 19 La Liga matches is 26 minutes every game. That's quite a lot for a new player.

Did Koeman give him 26 mins per game in La Liga? I think if we do the math, the difference is staggering.

Remember that Setien didn't start Fati in CL either, despite him being in top form with no injuries. He went full Retardo after amigos bullied him into submission.

I wonder who the amigos are. The decisions looked more to come from above, but it seemed pretty clear that it wasn't Setiens lineups.

Setien didn't rate him seriously either. Remember that he sent this bum way back to B team in January after a disaster performance in Copa. After Covid break, both Roberto and De Jong are injured, so Setien called him as a back up. Arthur at that time is finished and already had a move to Juventus. Midfield is old players like Busi, Raki and Vidal. Setien used Puig as a sub and sometime as from start. He has only three good performances vs Bilbao, Atletico and Alaves. The rest is mediocre or decent at best.

No minute in UCL, even Moncho has more vs Napoli.

So if Setien was the coach last season instead of Koeman, with the same squad (Pedri, De Jong, Roberto all available) he would do the same like Koeman, maybe more minutes. That's that.

Setien is worst coach ever seen at Barca and didnt give Puig any minutes by time CL came round.

Didnt even start him in next two after he played well v Atletico.

Not all that great to point to if that is coach that gave him most trust.

He also did not have likes of Pedri in team. If did.. Puig gets less minutes.

Why is Setien's (as noted above, worst coach at Barca) and koeman's (close to the worst coach at Barca) opinions about Puig matter that much to you?

Worst coach as never seen anything worse than the 442 v Bayern and could neither play in way to win with seniors or without them.

Simples.

So, why is his or koeman's opinion about Puig important to you. Trey are bit obviously not qualified for the job, so their opinion should not have so much merit.
