Why is frenkie getting a rest when gavi keeps playing games. The kid needs a break or we will have another pedri situation in our hands.

Put in the effort, stole a few balls and made some nice short one-two passes with Busquets. But he lacks the vision Gavi has and for a reason he is not a starter.

Exactly. You can see he and Busquets are on the same wavelength- quick wall passes to keep the ball moving and the defenders chasing. When Puig offers himself short, chances are you are going to get the ball back in a better position. A lot of the players don't get that and either dwell on the ball or hoof a longer pass (into the crowd of defenders playing behind the ball).

That quality isn't there across the team right now which is why Xavi is playing differently and Puig isn't the first option.. As the team gets better, Puig will feature more prominently.
