Yes he's in Morocco atm. The national team just appointed a new coach (Zaki Baddou) and they are preparing the African Cup which will be in Morocco next january.
Benatia isn't playing the world cup so it doesn't matter if we sign him after it. His price won't change a lot but of course it'll be better to sign the player before the WC so he can join the pre-season on 7 july.

The reason we lost out on Marquinhos was because we made our moves way too late, he had already agreed a move to PSG then, just like with Thiago Silva previously.

If the player want to move to one specific club then losing out on a bid war is no problem. We lost out to Man City on Alexis Sanchez as well, but he only wanted to play for us so we got him in the end even we though Man City offered more to Udinese.
