Camp Nou loves showboating players.

Camp Nou loves winners, the showboating is accepted to a degree. Even Ronaldinho wasn't walking like a peacock everytime he performed a slick move

The fingers in the ear thing is awful, hopefully the club will advise him to tone it down or not insist on doing it everytime he scores

Camp Nou will live him if he show boats @ whoever said that up to, this is barca we are talking about the fans love that kinda stuff, if it comes with winning ofc.

U think he will be a good signing for us, once fati gets back & if he picks up where he left off, it will be him, fati & messi as koeman's go to.

Which explains why we are trying to get rid of griezmann, a 120m bench warmer is not needed.

What would people consider a successful season for Depay this year? For me, I?d like to see 20+ goals in all competitions and 10+ assists. Might seem like high expectations and it is tbf. But if we?re to get anywhere near winning stuff we?ll need a forward who provides these numbers

I don't care that much about goals or assists, but I'd like to see somewhere above say 75% pass percentage while still offering a threat, at the very least.

I think he'll either remain somewhere around 70,1% and shoot and miss 5 times per game, or he'll start to play more safely and be pretty worthless.

Those are realistic expectations. Last season he had 20 goals and 12 assists which is pretty good. Maybe Ligue 1 is a couple levels below la liga but still it shows he can score and create. The main issue for me is where he plays. If he plays in an area where his is most comfortable then we could get the best out of him.

He is an attacker, no?. We need goals from him mostly.

Depends, if he’s on penalty duties then I’d expect at least 20. He got 20 last season but I think 7 or 8 of those were pens. Between Fati, Messi, Depay and Griezmann there should be more than enough goals there though.

5 goals and 5 assists but 90% pass completion. Or 15 goals and 15 assists with 70% pass completion. What would you choose?

A better player in Griezmann had a total of 20 G+A in Liga last year.
A realistic good season for free player like Depay will be 20 G/A in the season while being a decent fit within the team

Yeah, 8 penalties.
12 goals in open play, on 102 shots, 45 of which were on target.

If Messi plays, he will score enough goals. I don't care if Depay scores 10 or 30 really, I care that he scores a decent enough part of the chances he gets, and plays well in general.

Would it not be fair to say Griezmann was below par in his output for the first half of the season though? Should have reached 30+ altogether imo.

If Messi stays you would think Depays good runs in behind would result in quite a few chances. That’s part of my reasoning for setting expectations quite high for goals. I’m also assuming he plays most games due to Koeman rating him.

Double digits of goals and assists(12 goals, 12 assists) and im satisfied. If messi stays with us and depay clicks with him he would for sure hit those
