Memphis Depay

We won the continental treble 5 years ago. We wont La Liga twice in a row within the last 3 years. We're still an elite team. Just because we're in a down-period doesn't mean we have to settle for mediocre talents.

If there aren't any proper talents this season we should have saved the funds, write this season off, and wait for proper talents for the positions we need next year. There are talented midfielders all over, talented enough to rejuvenate the midfield and make us world class again. Wingers are a bit more of a tricky option, but there is a proven goalscorer in Haaland with a release clause next year.

There's a path to get back to the top again, it just requires patience and foresight, but instead we waste obscene amounts of money on shortsighted transfers like Depay, Griezmann, and Coutinho.

Jesus. You dont write off a season like that. And god knows if we even have a shot at Haaland (cant wait till the hype dies down). And its not like Depay would be a big investment, worst case we need a backup striker anyway.

Edit: He absolutely earned his move to a big club as well.

Best midfielder around
Fabrizio Romano says he will come. That’s as good as it being official and coming from the club itself. Not sure what to think. Don’t really want him here.

What is gonna happen next year when Koeman is (most likely) gone and the next coach has no intentions of using him on his plans ?. Another guy stuck here with a 4year big ass contract.

Hope to see at least 3 of the following 4 in every Barcelona game occupying winger and striker positions: Ansu, Depay, Dembele, Trincao
Anything less (like 2 to accommodate both Messi and Griezman) will be a failing project

Another player who will be loaned or sold 12 months from now.

Who needs defenders when you can sign overrated attackers?

One injury prone, one is still too young to be full time starter in crowded schedule (for his own long term durability) , one unproven quality (I hope he proves he is great) and Depay who is inferior player to both Messi and Griezmann and failed here before. He is also only 3 years younger than Griezmann, and while 3 years is significant it isn't worth that much difference in "rebuilding"
You are setting yourself for disappointment with this expectations.

Let's hope that Dembele can stop getting injured once the physical preparation becomes normal under Koeman.

Depay we will see. But he is at least a proper winger and striker than both Griezman and Messi (who are CAMs or SSs)

He's not...why do people keep saying this. He hasn't regularly played as an LW since his Man United days..it's like saying Griezmann is a proper winger because he played there back in Sociedad.

And he isn't a proper CF either, he is at his best behind another striker. Though he might be faster than the two of Messi & Griezmann

True he has not played LW lately, but still
Depay at LW >(more proper)> Griez at LW

Plus,
Depay at CF >(more proper)> Griez or MEssi at CF

By the way the last one was in Koeman's 4-2-3-1, so exactly what he has to play here
