Its not easy for him because he is our only attacker most of the time but he isnt doing well really not doing well not even when everything is right on the field. He started well but now he is underperforming like the rest.

He's not scoring often and when he does it is usually against relegation teams as well. The list of teams he scored against : Alaves, Vigo, Getafe, Levante, Valencia (pen he didn't win), Bilbao. Not great reading.

Sure goals against relegation teams count too but he barely scores anyway, especially considering how he gets every free kick, corner and penalty and loses the ball at least 20 times a game.

Braithwaite got a double and an assist against the now league leaders. Maybe if he stayed fit and you give him every set piece and penalty and the ball every attack he puts more goals than Depay.

Give this man a rest. He has been playing over 90 minutes in every La Liga game so far. The only game he was taken off earlier (after 75 minutes) was the home game against Kiev. With 1425 minutes he is our most used player and it shows on the pitch. Not even mentioning the fact that it is similar when he is with the Netherlands.

Not gonna say he is the perfect Barcelona player. He has his obvious weaknesses. He is too muscular to be at his personal best when it comes to pace, losing balls in dribblings and his passing percentage is rather low. It can be seen that he is tired and overplayed though, therefore losing more balls than necessary lately. The problem is our squad depth. Injuries, players coming back from injuries, new injuries, unproven ones like Demir. There were times when he had just 2 forwards that were available and he is the one "paying" for it.

He is the best we can do at the moment so might as support him till we sign someone better.

His attitude is good, you can see he clearly enjoys playing for the club and wants us to get out of this situation so no problems with him there. But he's gotta do better on the field.

Prefer him 100 times to likes of Coutinho taking massive wage and refusing to come off the bench. But has to play better as he's been one of the poorest performers lately.

Rumours we could sell him in the summer for around 40m. Probably bs because who in their right mind would pay 40n for Depay but if his hat tricks against Gibraltar have convinced I'm all for it.

Depay has 11 goals and 6 assist in 9 matches in World cup qualifiers, and 6 goals and 2 assists in 12 la-liga games plus he's 27 so if we're unable to get up to 40m for Depay, then we don't know transfer business

Clubs aren't stupid. They can see most of the goals are penalties or against shit teams and that he has 0 GA in the CL.

Same clubs that bought Buendia for 36m, Tammy Abraham - 40m, Sancho, Grealish, Wermer - 45m, Morata - 60m. and I rate Depay better than Abraham and Werner as forwards, so not being able to sell Depay for 40m would be funny in the present transfer market

We won't get 40m with his contract expiring within a year. Should easily get around 20m if decide to sell but tbh I don't know if I'd really consider selling him for that money. He's our only dependable (health-wise) forward. We don't know if Dembele will stay but we know we can't count on him for more than half of the season (if lucky). And hopefully Ansu won't go down the same road but he easily could. After those three we have zero depth. Luuk will leave in January, Kun could retire (and if he won't can't really count on him longterm anyway) and we'll probably try to sell Braithwaite as well. And behind them Demir whose future at the club is uncertain and unproven Barca B kids.

Memphis is not perfect but if sold we'd need to bring 3-4 forwards with probably two of them need to be good enough to start a lot of games and another one or two to cover. Just don't see this happening. But I guess we'll have a better idea what to expect next summer in February after we'll see what moves (if any) we'll make in winter transfer window.
