Take either player out of the team and how would Barca cope on a long term basis?

IMO I think Barca would feel the loss more of Iniesta than Messi.

We would easily suffer without Messi more than we would without Iniesta ... Iniesta was out for 2 months this season, and we still won the treble.

Not trying to take anything away from Andres, He's pure magic, but we depend on Messi more than we do on Iniesta. It's a fact !

I never give anybody 10 for anything...ever... I'm as suprised as you to see that I typed that :/

Also, playmaking isn't just setting up goals, it's setting up situations that lead to people setting up goals- usually starting in midfield.

Anyway, yeah, I would rate Messi a 8.5 or 9 and Andres 9 or 9.5 So it is pretty close.

Again, Messi for me- but Andres is also incredible. Why is it always "Whos better, Leo or CRon?" Bizzare. So many other players can be put in there instead of CRon (though he is good, I know- don't argue lol)

His long passing is terrific, but I don't think as consistant as it could be. (Because he prefers short passing he's not passing at range as much, and therefore it has a lower accuracy rate than his short.) I gave him a 9 for short passing ..actually could be 9.5..

I gave him a 7.5 just his long range passing- and think about it- he supplies short passes WAY more than long- so the 9 I gave for short is pretty much for his passing in general, but the 7.5 was just for long range. (and 7.5 is above average anyway)

Basically I rate his passing as a 9.
