Should have sold him earlier this summer when there were rumors about Girona being interested in making the move permanent......then it all got quite all of a sudden.

Who the fuck knows what happened. Maybe the club miscalculated and thought they'd be in complete compliance with FFP and could demand a higher fee by waiting and it just backfired.

It's pretty clear Eric was never Girona's priority, they've already signed two CBs this summer. They either hope to get him back on another loan or for very cheap.

From what I've seen Alejandro Frances is similar profile to Eric but probably a bit higher upside and they've signed him for 3m. So no way they would pay more than that for Eric.

He was their defender that won the ball back the most, was important to their passing game and he scored 5 goals also.

Be surprised if they are not after him but trying to wait until Barca desperate to drop price.

Either way it's a bad deal if he works out, we would be just spending on unnecessary 15m, when we could have sold Garcia.

Lenglet situation is a whole other issue.
