Miralem Pjanic

I like Pjanic but he?s now done at the top level. The fact he?s going to UAE indicates that also.

Signed him 3 years too late unfortunately!

Busi has been done at the top level for 5 years and counting and he's still starting every week.

People just assume Pjanić wouldn't fare well against top teams in the CL (when he actually did fine for Besiktast last year) but we all KNOW what will happen when Busi will start those games.

Anyway, good luck to Pjanić and much respect to him. Got boycotted by Koeman, took a pay cut to go play in Turkey, came back prepared to work hard to convince Xavi and he did that only to then realize Xavi was just sweet talking him and will never give him a fair chance to "compete" against his amigo and then also didn't demand any money to leave the club.

Yet some fans will still talk shit about him while simping for the amigos who are even more finished and the only "favor" they did to the club was to deferr their huge wages not taking actual pay cuts or leave any money on the table.

He had quite a poor end to the season in Turkey though didn't he and found himself benched?

I've always liked him as a player but yeah just signed him too late. Got himself a nice contract in the UAE though, so everyones a winner.

Maybe he was boycotted by koeman & Xavi for a reason? Even while they both played old dead busquets, at a time when under Keoman we were a bit light on bodies, clearly he wasn't anywhere near good enough anymore.

Went to turkey & flopped as well.

Shouldn't have been here in the first place another bartomeu special.

Good guy though.

Also didn't Bosnian coach complain he was smoking and drinking?

Pjanic lost his motivation to play serious footbal few seasons ago. He was basically finished at 28.

Lost it as soon as he signed for Barca. Huge wages thanks to Barto, and in his mind he thought he made it, just like Arda.

Also signing for Juve ruined him as a player, from a more advanced CM playmaker, they tried to turn him in to a deep one like Pirlo. Now he is neither a DM nor a CM, has no clear position. Was a bad choice for his career, he should have been signed when he left Roma, could have molded him in to Iniestas replacement.

I don't know about Pjanic losing motivation, he certainly lost his legs. After all, he agreed to take a pay cut only to play (in Turkey), and even now apparently made it easy to offload him. I think he primarily declined fast.

Was a wicked player back in the day.

Xavi seemed to indicate at the last press conference he didn't want Pjanic to leave, and said he would have played if he stayed.
