Seems like We have a buyback clause in it if Valencia decide to buy. at 15 million euros.

Damn, I really hoped there would be a clear-cut way for us to get him back if we wanted. Lets see tomorrow if more details is available, but I don't like it if Valencia can buy him after this season, without anything we could do!

Edit: Maybe too fast - buyback at 15M if they buy first at 12M sounds fine with me..

Is Alcacer that good to begin with? I only know his good track record in Spain's qualifying campaign for euros. Not much besides that. I could understand this deal if he was already a star, but from where i'm looking, he's also just a 'could-be'.

Is Morata a "could be" too? Because Paco had a season very similar to him, while in a much weaker team. And Morata is hailed as a great player and such.

15 million for our own player

So Paco is worth 45 million

That doesn't make sense. For 45m it'd be Paco + Munir. Not just Paco.

Morata has shown to be a big game player. But he's wank in the league. Atleast has been. Hope he regresses and he's wabk in big matches too ..

So Paco is worth 45 million

If Valencia want to sign Munir at the end of the season, they will pay us 12m.

If Munir realizes his potential and we want to buy back, we'll have to pay 15m. So 3m for a much better player who desperately needs regular minutes. If he becomes that good.

It is a good deal.

Munir is raw but has potential. Maybe needs to toughen up a bit and get better at holding up ball etc.

Dont see how Barca can lose out really.

I don't like his loan conditions. Honestly not sure if Paco truly will have a bigger impact here, assuming there will be an adjustment period for him.

Hope he does well at Valencia and the playing time does him well.

The money would make it 18 million for Alcacer if they buy Munir but that's just the nuances of the deal. A deal, incidentally, that makes very little sense for any of those involved - other than Lim & Valencia.

Paco played more than 2400 minutes last year while Munir a third of that so the player that played more will come here to play less while the player here who was playing less is going there to play more. On the surface that looks good for Munir except he's going from the best team on the planet to one of the worst, moreover his reward for advancing so quickly through the club's cantera and developing with the first team is to be sold. It boggles the mind.

Then there's the financials of it. We needed a wide player more than a backup striker and saw it again how rarely the team could get behind the Bilbao defense - a Nolito, for example. Yet, we buy a young talent in Alcacer for 30 million when Nolito was 18 million. Then, we sell Munir for as little as 12 million when we saw RM dump Jese for triple that - boggles the mind. This is also to say nothing about how hard it will be for Paco to integrate into this squad this late into the transfer window, having missed the pre-season and will only ever see minor minutes in principle.

You could make a case if this was a veteran who had either a good chance to see regular minutes from the off or someone who was going to produce even with irregular appearances...say like, Nolito.

There's nothing about this deal I like

Munir is still at the stage of proving himself and has a lot to learn.

It is not a negative thing sending out La Masia players on loan before ready for bigger role in first team. It is a positive that will help keep more youngsters who dont want 4/5 years of minimal minutes at Barca when could get more football elsewhere.

Munir has shown good glimpses but the jury is out on whether he will be good enough for Barca longer term and this idea the club needs to hold the hand of players all way through to first team place is bollocks. Players need to take resposibility as well to go out and show themselves to be good enough.

What?! Valencia is one of the worst teams on the planet?? We need a winger even after Arda returning to form and filling the position Nolito would?? You rather we brought 29 year old Nolito for 18 million than a young upcoming talent like Alcacer?? Nolito would gain regular minutes here?? I'm baffled at your reasoning against this transfer.
