Munir El Haddadi

Shameful if true. The message we send is one that we don't care about young players coming through our cantera, especially young forwards, no matter how hard they try, they don't have a chance and will be sold in the end. We will just buy the hottest targets in the market that we can afford. Screw this.

Jesus Christ.

Absolute madness if true. It sends a terrible message to La Masia kids who want to stay and succeed at the club.

I really hope it's just Sport with their usual garbage.

Maybe the board is relying on our history to some extent and on their estimation of Munir.
We are good at producing good midfielders from La Masia. They fit the best into our system.

From forwards, we produced only, the one and only Messi, and Pedro in the last 20-ish years.
So, our record with Cfs is poor and it seems that we will always just buy random Ronaldihos, Etoos, Villas, Henrys, Messis, Neymars and Suarezs from other teams.

When it comes to midfielders, our board is more patient.
Cfs, Halil, Adama, Munir, Deulofeu, it seems that they have way less faith in them and they are sold/sacrificed in order to buy some better players.

About Paco, it seems that Lucho/the board rate him quite highly.
It really seems as a now-or-never opportunity to buy him.
The board probably decided to sell all of our so-so talents (a few players with the similar level/potential) and invest that money in one player who has way higher ceiling (in their opinion).

In the end, Paco will be worth roughly equal as transfers of Adama+Halilovic+Munir.

and if they do well we'll have to spend money to get them back, great business plan. Good luck to paco but i am not overly enthusiastic about him, hope he proves me wrong.

Again, for some reason, our La Masia Cfs rarely end as world class players for our level (except Messi and Pedro, and even Pedro was not good enough for lots of people).

It is very much possible that they buy him for 12M. next year, and if they still struggle financially they can sell him for 20-30M. in this market if he has done well!
Even if we had a buyback option he would still cost us 20-30M so whats the problem? Besides why would we even want to buy him in 1 or 2 years since we already have paco and suarez in his position. If paco is coming then munir has no place in here in the future.

Well, that would depend on our negotiation-skills. We could have a 10M. buyback if we sold him to them in a straight sale - no-one says it should be his marketvalue at 20M. Or we could have a 15M. buyback which overrides the 12M.buyout as reported at one time - that would mean we pay Valencia 3M for their service.

Yeah, but we don't really know how good Munir will be - maybe he could be a good option for us in a year or two, even with Paco here. At least we can agree that it would be better if we were the ones who could choose between them, when we have seen what Munir is capable of with regular minutes?

We probably want Paco desperately.
We don't have too much money and we need to lower the price of Paco somehow.
Since we are desperate and have no money (and the time for now-or-never Paco's transfer is running out), Valencia probably played hard and asked for Munir's loan+buy option, without buyback and similar.

Again, Lucho and the staff probably rate Paco as a much higher prospect than Munir since we are ready to give Munir for peanuts, without a buyback option plus tons on money for Paco.

Nothing to be surprised about , Valencia want to look good to thier fans and as such asking the unreasonable , we'll probably have first refusal or something. Or Munir could always block the move, similar to Morata who choose not to stay with Juve and therefore Madrid were able to use thier buyback. If the player doesn't want to stay at Valenca , there is no way he'll stay there

I think this buy-clause for valencia is an agreement to please the fans a bit at this moment.. no way barca dont have a word to say next summer

So a two year loan, apparently?

it says 'end of the season' so im guessing they mean this season.

I dont think clubs are obliged to release the full details of the deal to the press, therefore Barca may have agreed not to release that they have a buyback clause in his contract until later when the Valencia fans are more calm.

There's no buyback, though. Only a first option, in case Valencia buys him. So he'll only come back for big money.

I am reading one year loan and no buy-back for us everywhere else. Are you sure about the 16m buy-back?
