Munir El Haddadi

Real Madrid tried to sign Barcelona B forward Munir El Haddadi (18) a few months ago, but the player renewed his contract until 2017. [as]

Why do they always try to sign our youth players? We never try to sign any of theirs...

 Oh, right.

Yeah probably. Quite a shame that Madrid snap up the best youth players in central Spain but then don't give them any chances. I despise such behaviour.

Their youth players just aren't good enough. Jesé got enough chances under Ancelotti last season. Carvajal too.

Barcelona plan to limit Munir's media exposure, number of interviews will be reduced. Want to avoid what happened with Bojan. [marca]

Seems like Madrid is REALLY pissed about Munir. Firing their scouts for not discovering him when he was growing up in Madrid and trying to sign him before he renews with us...

What's funny is if he had signed for them he'd probably be horrible. When he first joined Barca he was meh imo, and developed in La Masia into what he is now. Madrid would have promoted him to the B team at best and then sold him to Getafe.

Wow 2nd start in a row, he must really be impressing in training. I'm not entirely sure about this one because he does need to ration his appearances given the 10 game limit before promotion, and plus Villarreal is a very strong team so having him play under the pressure right after a lot of attention/hype comes in could be difficult. Of course the support of Messi by his side does take a load off for any youngster since they'll be well serviced and not hold an unreasonable amount of responsibility. Good luck today!

Not many other options to be fair. Neymar coming off a knock and Iniesta dinged up forcing Rafinha to midfield.

This is probably the most important game of Munir's career so far. If he impresses here, against one of the tougher teams in Spain, it'd be difficult to justify ever sending him back to the B team. If he plays well or even scores a goal he'd officially be a reliable first team player in my eyes, and his development would be best spent with the first team from here on.

No pressure.

If you're good enough you're old enough, let him start, the kid is on fire.
