Benfica defender Nelson Semedo is Barcelona's alternative to Hector Bellerin as the look to sign a right-back, although the Arsenal man is the top target.
According to A Bola, the Portuguese club and Barça have had contact to talk about the possibility of a deal although the talks have not advanced as Benfica had hoped.
President Luis Filipe Vierira wants as much as 50 million euros -- just 10 less than the player's release clause -- for Semedo.
It's a figure Barça wouldn't even think about playing, especially as he is not their first right-back option. In exchange, Benfica also cite interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City.
Vieira tried to include to include two young Barça players in any potential deal, too, in the form of of Jordi Mboula and Marc Cucurella.
However, Barça hope to keep hold of both of the youngsters, believing that they both have first team potential, although there is also interest in Mboula from Monaco.
