Nelson Semedo

That was impressive. His pace is up there with the best. And his ball skills/technique is miles over most right backs. Must be first choice next season.

He should start every single game. It shouldn't have EVER been a contest between him and Roberto yet EV somehow managed to decide Roberto is better..... Semedo is miles better defensively.
You had Barca fans arguing that Roberto was the "Safe option" and that we shouldn't question the manager.

Roberto is a great option off the bench but some people really exaggerated just how good Roberto is. Sure he looked good in the first half of the season but how much of it was just a purple patch? or that teams didn't really figure him out that well yet.

Since January bar a couple of games here and there Roberto has been Abysmal. Defensively a liability and he was contributing very little offensive wise compared to the first half of the season. It became pointless playing him because teams were targeting him yet again.

He doesn't have the pace nor understanding on how to position himself defensively and he's terrible in 1v1 duels. I doubt that will ever change with him being 26 years old. I mean it's great that Lucho helped made him a useful option but he should not be a starter for now on.

Semedo kept on dribbling into a pack of Real players. Really stupid stuff. Improved as the match went on though and used his pace well.

Great game. He was 2 in 1. RB and RW at the same time after Coutinho was subbed. Passing under pressure was on point and ballsy. Liked that. Should be our starter RB.

This literally happened once.

At pretty much every other club in the world he’d be first choice RB, yet here Valverde has somehow contrived to play a utility midfielder over him, and his utmost best to ruin his confidence.

He's one of those players that will leave Barcalona and go on to become one of the top 5 players in his position. In fact, the same can be said for Dembele. It's the Mourinho effect (Salah, KDB, Lukaku, etc.), but instead with this coward of a manager in Valverde.

Good game for him, although was cought out of position a time or two. Also Cr7 being out of the game helped him a lot.

This guy is class! Been great in nearly all the big games he’s played this season.

For some reason I think if Roberto wasn’t Catalan and La Masia Semedo would have been starting RB a long time ago.

Because Roberto is one of the club's favorite players who has a status and pecking order way ahead of Semedo's. It is sad to see us resorting to this kind of people management.

Also because Valverde promised Roberto regular playtime when he had offers to leave early in the season. Shame really that our manager is trying to keep his word and in the process, benching a player that was bought to solve our problems at right back.
