Exactly! Either he's ignored or there's no one to pass to. So he pretty much does his job of defending.

I don’t think he’s Messi. As I said above, I believe he needs to be braver on occasion, let loose and try to make something happen, because I believe he has that in his locker.

It's clear Valverde has a hand in him being more conservative which is more or less confirmed with Rakitic and Suarez providing no support on the RW. If he takes on multiple players without support he's gonna lose the ball and then people will blame him for turnovers.

We need a new manager to fix our right side and by extension our whole team dynamic because Valverde is incapable of straying from his factory mode
