It's clear Valverde has a hand in him being more conservative which is more or less confirmed with Rakitic and Suarez providing no support on the RW. If he takes on multiple players without support he's gonna lose the ball and then people will blame him for turnovers.

We need a new manager to fix our right side and by extension our whole team dynamic because Valverde is incapable of straying from his factory mode

Semedo had a very good game and I do agree that under the mediocre Valverde neither him nor talents like Dembele will ever flourish.
This coach has no vision, no imagination specially as far as attack is concerned, so if Messi wouldn't be there, nobody would actually score...

We can't as we will need to bench an MF. Currently our midfield is not strong enough to play under a 3 MF configuration ( Coutinho play as MF and LW in the current configuration) .

We can play a midfield three with Coutinho, Arthur and Vidal. All three have enough movement and energy to make the 433 work.

However Valverde is so scared of the seniors that he will play Rakitic and Busquets no matter what.
