Neymar Jr. - v5

You both really don't understand how wealthy countries like Qatar and the UAE and I'm not talking about GDP per capita. For example, their sovereign wealth fund (SWF) manages above trillion in funds. One sovereign wealth fund like Abu Dhabi Investment Authority manages above 800 billion in a fund, they have several state owned funds so you can guess the figures. That's without counting oil & gas revenue.
mssarm it's not throwing money, they are investing in a product/player that will generate big revenue for the club from marketing and sales.

Finally the shirt sales concept came out. I was surprised that no one mentioned it. Please tell me how much Neymar alone will generate in revenues, considering that if you pay 220M for the player +30 M in salaries, equals to 250M and if you do the stupidest thing and put that cash in the most conservative line of investment of 10% that will generate 25M annually. At the end of the day these guys are making investments and they are not in shopping spree. At the end of the first year PSG will be in hole 280M by most conservative calculations, how do you think Neymar is going to recover that money? They are not going to win CL , they are not making as much money like other European powerhouses and they were dumb enough to pay in lump sum, unlike other big clubs. Do the math yourself. By the way this is completely pointless, because Neymar already denied all the allegations.

By the way no one gives a shit on per Capita, we are talking about GDP here. On the paper Qatar's GDP doesn't look great and after latest development it will look even worse. You are making the assumptions that wealthy people splash their cash around which is not the case.

Shirt sales?! It's more complex than just shirt sales! I would recommend you to read a book about sports finance. The best one is Sport Finance by Gil Fried. It will widen your knowledge in this subject.

Regarding GDP per capita, read again my post, I didn't care about GDP per capita as per my post.

He hasn't said shit after the brazilian reports. Marca and Mundodeportivo are terrible sources. Brazilian press usually doesn't fuck around like European press. They are usually solid since they don't have tabloids.

I think Neymar actually legally cannot say he wants to go or stay, because PSG isn't allowed by law to talk to Neymar before an offer has been made to Barça. That's why he's silent.
Lets see the next chapters.

Neymar can legally say that he staying in Barcelona. There's no gag order on him. It would be a poor taste to say I'm leaving for PSG without any offer from PSG. It will make him look stupid but he can say whatever he wants. Actuall he sent an email to Goal publisher to confirm he staying in Barcelona, it's not MD made up shit.

Le Parisien are saying PSG are working on a deal with Alexis Sanchez which would see him match Edinson Cavani's wages. If true I wonder if all this was nothing but a smokescreen and the real target was Sanchez instead.

LOL When asked about it he just ignores the question. Me thinks that if he really wanted to stay at Barca he would've squashed those rumors then and there.

Rafael is kind of an idiot though. Tries to act like he has inside sources when all he does is quote others hours later and try to make it seem like it was his own exclusive. His twitter career kicked off due to a Marco Reus signing he said was done.

I call that a fraud.

He seem more concerned about Pep too than the club itself.

You tell Rafael that his 'exclusive' was reported hours earlier by another outlet and he blocks you within 10 seconds. Guess he's not too happy about people finding out he's a fraud.

That happened to me lol

i just found out after he tweeted about Fellaini to Barca which is originally twitted by fake barcastuff. LOL

Qatar is the richest country in the world. 222m for Neymar is nothing! They don't have issues paying that much money or double that for top players but the problem always been they can't attract top players. Now with Neymar Sr. big appetite for wealth, they might finally buy that top player. Recruiting Alves who has a personal vendetta against the board was a smart move.

It doesn't matter that PSG is owned by a rich company. Because of the FFP they are limited and can't spend just everything they want. So with the money they can spend it would not be the best investment to spend it on only 1 player when you can buy 2 world class player with it and which would make PSG alot stronger than just overpaying for 1 player.

Their FFP has been lifted. Same with City.
