Cant believe that wc players are considering psg. There is no escape from there best example verrati. Crap club and crap league and most likely no success. Do neymar really think he will win balloon d or? or even cl is unlikely at psg. He wont be able to escape there like here because they dont have buyout there. So its only the money because his brasil friends wont last there forever. Dani is old and wont be able to hold that level for too long.

One thing's for sure;

They're laughing in Madrid right now. Losing Neymar will dent Barca's rep. What does it say when a player is ready to leave this club to make the jump down? Especially when it's a player of his value?

They also know that the people in charge right now are stupid as fuck so there's no guarantee they will use 222m well.

We're chasing trash like Paulinho right now.

Who knows what we'll do with that much money in our hands?

It will also be a major L for Farto

Don't think they have many reasons to laugh. The last two times we beat them on Bernabeu we played without Messi and Neymar.

I'm pretty sure we will get great players if Neymar leaves. Barca will go on either way imo.

Even Emery alluded to it yesterday.

They're saying in France it was his father who contacted PSG.

If Neymar want to reach the next level, he has to distance himself a bit from his father.

Won't be the first time someone's parents ruined their children's career.

Need to look no further than Halilovic or Ozil who sacked his dad after he got Ozil kicked out of Madrid by FloPer

If Neymar is innocent then he should do what Floyd Mayweather Jr. did to his father when his father intervened in his son's business. He fired him and hired his uncle.

Many people thought he would move to PSG/China/etc. just before he extended his contracts. It seems like many waits for the opportunity to call him a money-grabbing celebrity.
Reality is that he has shown to be faithful to Barca, and nothing in the current situation suggests otherwise.

Well the fact we haven't heard of him might suggest that something is going on.

You probably missed the part where he has said that he is very happy at barca.

The whole forum has already believed that this rumour is neymar's and his dads work for a better contract. You have no way of knowing this. This could be a natural transfer rumour also. But no, lets just call neymar names and blame his dad for all this.

There was more big rumours from reliable sources after the "Happy at barca", and even that still isn't enough, he should come out saying that he will stay and doesn't plan to go anywhere instead of saying that hes happy lol, that just tells me even more that he is hesitating at something and wants to strech our wages even more.

You're missing one key thing. Neymar's father approached PSG, just like he did with Real Madrid in the past. It doesn't mean PSG is seriously interested in bringing him to Paris or that they're even going to try. Besides that, I don't think they're even capable of paying his release clause (and his salary). Let's do some math. €222 million release clause and when Barcelona is willing to play hard ball Neymar has to pay his own release clause (just like Herrera did when he moved to United). That adds a tax component on that sum of money since it's considered 'income tax' (PSG has to pay €222 million to Neymar after all, which is considered 'income tax' in Spain) and could be up to 45%. Then his salary (excluding variables) of €30 million netto, which would be nearly €55 million without taxes. So €222M plus €275M (salary) plus that tax component of triggering his release clause. I mean... For a club that was punished in 2015 for breaking the FFP that's pretty much impossible.

No taxes now.

It's considered capital gain now, not income.

So Neymar could trigger his €222 million clause himself without paying taxes. Still, it means that PSG should find a deal with Neymar himself to find a payment plan. I can't imagine a player that's willing to 'loan out' that kind of money (if he even has the money himself, which I doubt) or find a financial institution to finance the deal. Still, the total amount of money is nearly €500 million over five years time. Don't you think PSG will get in trouble with the FFP by that time since their revenues aren't that high?

The 'I'm happy' story came from goal dot com who said he replied in an email

That sounds suspiciously fake to me. More so given goal's bad reputation.

And yes, Mundo Deportivo quoted goal dot com

He's been asked several times by journalists about it, but he's stayed silent.

Why?

He's apparently been asked by the club to clarify it.

Again, still silent.

He was asked again today in New Jersey, and he replied: 'Good Morning'

Why? He should come out clean about this because it's a distraction to our pre season.

Either deny it or fuck off and leave already so the team can move on and look to sign replacements.

Even if he doesn't leave this summer, having this father around means we will likely experience this saga again and again in the coming years until he is gone. His father is a major major risk.

We need to plan ahead and I hope our incompetent board will start planning soon enough instead of waiting for the 220m to be dropped on our door step to start panicking.

Haven;t had time to catch up with all these rumors. But to me it seems incredibly random. If there is a small chance he leaves then I will blame his father.
His kin is gonna tank his legacy before it has fully taken off.
