Let's be honest,
Tapping up is against the rules set by FIFA, but every club does it. However I haven't seen many clubs do what we did by publicly announcing our interest in a certain player, and make it out like he want to join us too like we've spoken to him.
Did so with Thiago Silva and again with Verratti.
It's not exactly the smartest thing to do and other clubs detest it.
There's a reason why every director, manager always remember to add this part when they speak about a player 'but he's a player of another team so I cannot talk about that'.
They can say 'he's a great player who would add something to every team, but he's a member of said team so I would rather not talk about it/there's nothing I can say'.

PSG say no.
Barca encourage him to demand a move.
PSG get angry.
PSG bid for Neymar.
Neymar's dad is forcing the move.

It won't go through. Or at least it's very unlikely now. I've already seen sources try to keep the saga underway and claim that Neymar didn't know Pique was gonna make a post like that, but what's certain is that Neymar would look incredibly stupid if he still left and also there seems to no green light from UEFA anyway.
I think it's pretty dead. Although at this point it wouldn't surprise me if we'll have new rumours tomorrow again.

Now ESPN saying Neymar "Sources" are saying they have no idea why Pique posted that picture.

I suppose that's easy to find that out isn't it? If Neymar has really commited himself to Barca then he will no doubt announce his decision via Instagram or Twitter now after he kept quiet for a whole week.. Well and if he still continues to not show a response or reaction, then that shit is probably still underway..

Do they seriously believe Pique would just randomly post that photo of him and Neymar saying "he's staying" like he was trolling? Well to I guess some media outlets are way to invested into this story to let it die it seems.

I think its more on the board than Neymar now, yes he could say something but if there is a new contract to be signed the board should announce that followed by Neymar

Ye I know, some media don't want this to die as well because of how much attention it has. Find it funny that ESPN are the only people to claim this "source" and the other reliable outlets have not said anything.

Good point made by Yannik, if Neymar continues to stay quiet in the coming days, that means this thing isn't over yet, he is probably waiting for P$G to come through. It is indeed strange that when almost everything was pointing to a different direction that post from Pique was posted and nobody has explained what happened.
