They wouldnt have gotten him for less. They most likely wouldnt have gotten him at all but we know minimum what they were willing to pay.
Okay? And? Nitpicking real hard now.

Okay? And?
And it was 222m.
And?
Nothing more just that we know what PSG were willing to pay at least.
And? I don't think price tag is a valid metric to use to argue how influential/talented a player is.
Ex Barça president Joan Gaspart on Neymar saga in his interview with Cadena SER
It's because it was his buyout. They'd not have paid as much otherwise.
They were an "okayish" team before and with Neymar they're not much better. Like I said, his teammates at Barca were much better than his teammates at PSG will be, and we also had a better manager. If he wasn't enough to propel us into European dominance, I see no way he'll do it for PSG.
As far as Alexis is concerned, he'll probably fizzle out at PSG. We knew from watching him in his time here that he can only truly shine if he's the one allowed to be the top man, a role that's obviously going to go to Neymar. Funnily enough, Neymar signing with us was one of the main reasons Alexis left.
I've seen similar situations but Neymar is in the same boat as Figo, who was alone but now has Neymar for company.
I've seen great players like [Diego] Maradona and Ronaldo, who were better than Neymar, also leave Barca because other clubs paid their clauses.
But they went with dignity, without making so much fuss. I've not liked his [Neymar's] attitude with the club, with the supporters and with his teammates.
On Laporta's tweet to use Neymar's departure to criticise Barto and the current board.
It hurts me that people I respect are using this to blame the club. Neymar's the one to blame, full stop.
It's not Barca's fault. It's not the board's fault. It's not the players' fault... they did everything for him to stay. It's Neymar's fault.
