Neymar Jr. - v5

He was by far the best today and continuously shows his quality despite his flaws. It'd be extremely stupid to let go of Neymar. He's the only other driving force going forward other than Messi and makes a big effort in every big game. Even when he's not a clinical scorer, he'll always showcase his creative and dribbling talents.

Give it a fixed system and some good individual momentum and Neymar will shine. On pure capability, he's easily a top 5 footballer in the world and he'll eventually be the best if/when he truly hits his stride. If we come out of the Post-Lucho era rebuilding period for the better (i.e better coach, tactics, players) then I'm willing to bet Neymar delivers and steps his game up.

Yeah the first half right... where he created the only chance on goal we had all game?

And where he got the ball taken away from his feet like a little child.

There is a choice to make. Either we build the team around MSN, or around a solid system trying to optimize the qualities we have in midfield.

Messi could cut inside and try to build the game up. Neymar didn't show that he has the qualities for it but he still tries to do it. I'd prefer him to play as classical winger.

Yeah like when Messi went retard and lost the ball in our half for no reason at all which lead to a goal for PSG? You are blaming the wrong person bruh. You are making a fool of yourself.

We have no quality in midfield. In fact we have no midfield at all right now. Also when you have one of the best tridents in world of football of all times it is just normal to have your game built around that trident. However that does not have to exclude a good midfield.

While Neymar has been underwhelming for a year now, I am happy with his drive and defensive aspect of the game.

We need to keep players that can run and both Neymar and Suarez are carrying their weight.

You critized me for this post. But I am glad you are beginning to believe.

His workrate and desire are beyond question... But there's isn't much else, so the sad part is that considering our current situation those qualities put him above his team mates...

Plus a lot of our core are starting to hit their 30s. Pique, Iniesta, even Messi. Neymar's not only our best under 30 player but probably the best under 30 player in the world period, in terms of pure talent if not form. He's vital to our future and getting rid of him would be incredibly dumb.

I would much sooner get rid of Suarez who is starting to show some signs of decline. Not saying I would get rid of Suarez, just that I'd rather get rid of him than Neymar.

With the team aging the likes of Neymar, Ter Stegen and Umtiti must be kept at all costs (funnily enough the first two were the only ones that showed up on tuesday). We need them to rebuild. Especially considering how some of our other younger signings have turned out (looking at you Gomes and Paco).

Yea Suarez has declined so much this season compared to Neymar... Who is young so it doesn't matter ?

There are plenty of good young players out there. Keeping players because they are young makes no sense. Since criticizing Neymar is anathema, let's use Umtiti as an example. I don't care if he leaves if we get another good, young CB in his stead. Just because he's young doesn't mean he should get a free pass.

It's not the young players who can't leave, it's the old players who will have to be replaced eventually.

Everyone deserves the rightful blame. I don't see any bias for younger or older players here tbh. If you made a poll of someone who should be instantly sold or replaced, I think gomes would win by some margin, and he isn't old.
