With Malcolm gone for a pretty penny. I guess they're going all in on a swap + 70Mil or more.

There is only a week left so if Ney wants to leave he's gonna have to do something else.

I am curious on how you got to obtain this information

Our 18/19 season's post-tax earning was a mere 4.5m euros, this is after the new Nike deals kicking in, and after we earned 80m from the CL after advancing to the semi-finals. Where do you think we will find another 30m or so a year to fork out without borrowing more money this season?

If you guys want to bankrupt the club then by all means get Neymar.

Well if our earnings after tax are 4.5m and we decided to buy Griezman, then there must be other factors they are looking into when making these decisions as well as there are other means to secure additional money and pay it later .. it could be that their future financial projections are better after striking such deals despite the additional costs that will occur. The point is that as long as they can prove that Neymars investment will yield positive returns then there is a way to make it happen. If they will just rely on the money they have then they would go no where. No good business man uses his money only

I would take those Benedito's tweets with reserve. He probably has connections inside the club but he's not close to Bartomeu/our sporting department and not included in their decision making process. And he knows even less what PSG will do because in the end Neymar's possible return depends exclusively on their will to accept Coutinho and possibly another player to lower the price because it's obvious we can't pay 150-200m and we won't sell Coutinho for 100m to another club.

So Benedito's guess is as good as anyone of us.

Getting rid of one of the biggest Barca flops ever based on price and getting arguably the 2nd best player in the world when fit........ yeah idiots.

Explain to me how Barcelona will place in the field of Suarez, Messi, Neymar, Dembele and Griezmann?

P.S Sorry for my English, I know that it is bad.

We could afford his wages if we get rid of Cou/Dembele's and Raki/Vidal's wages whether that's including them in the deal or selling them to another club.

I still don't think he'll return and don't even want him back but you're panicking too much. We won't bankrupt.

A formation of 3-2-5...... joking.

But how is that different than trying to field Suárez, Messi, COUTINHO, Dembele and Griezmann.

Let’s not be silly here, only 3 will play at one time, unless Griezmann or Messi drops behind but very much doubt that.

Last season we had Messi in the form of his life, Coutinho one of the biggest flops ever and obviously doesn’t fit in the team, a hot and cold Dembele who’s also injury prone and Suárez fucking up 90% of attacks with his awful passing and touches.

For me Neymar-Griezmann-Messi is by far the best trio, the rest can do as they please, warm the bench, rotate or be sold.

Both MD and Sport posted updates 2 hours ago that Coutinho is gone.
He won't play on Sunday (is it Arsenal iirc?).

MD posted tonight that we will let go Coutinho.
2 Manchester clubs have brought offers apparently.

Also, I am not an economist, there is some part about amortization and how we could earn on that part, due to his amortization from the next season.

Md even said that there is a chance to loan him with a mandatory purchase option.

So, Cou is gone, Malcom is gone.
We will now force Raki and/or Rafinha and 180m for Neymar is here.

Our future is dead with this idiot in our team.

2nd best player in the world, my ass, lol.

You know that we had to borrow 30m to finance Griezmann's purchase, right? Bartomeu himself said it, this is on top of 140m we borrowed from the US earlier this year. Not to mention we are taking on Griezmann's and De Jong's wages without significantly reducing our payroll (the players who departed, such as Malcom, were not on high wages). Now if we add another 30m a year of Neymar's wages on top, I just don't see where we are getting the money from aside from borrowing more and piling on more debt. Our staff expense to total expense ratio is already beyond dangerous levels, higher than any other European clubs (at 81%), we can't go on like this for much longer, let alone making it worse.

The Espai Project is on hold mostly because of we are short of funds to go forward. Our debt is growing and is rumored to be at 888m (I personally think that is too high of a figure to be true) and those who are close to the club than all of us here such as Font and Laporta constantly lambast how fragile our state of finances are. You add two and two together, our finances are not in a good shape.

Neymar? How will he yield any positive returns? An unprofessional, self-indulging, injury-prone player who has passed his peak levels will not be a good investment for us at all.

Neymar's fanboys want Neymar back at all cost, they don't care a bit about the club's future.

But we are not getting rid of any of those players (personally I don't want us to get rid of Dembele and Vidal), they are not going anywhere so we really don't have much maneuver room for further high-cost wages like Neymar's.

I share your hope that this is just silly rumors propagated by a few (especially the disgusting Diario Sport) that have no truth. I honestly don't think we can afford either Neymar's transfer fee or his wages without selling quite a few players. I just hope the transfer window ends soon so Neymar can stay where he is and never comes near us.
