He's coming home.

Barto will soil himself in the eleventh hour and give PSG everything they want, which will be close to 220m.

Vamos mi presidente!

People bitch about Barto throwing ~140 Mil for an injury prone player. But they hope Barto signs another injury prone player for 150+ Mil

Neymar's injuries are caused by contact and some rough defending, unlike Dembele whose hamstring seem to break down whatever he does. He's also 5x the player Dembele will ever be.

he'll stay at PSG. this will resume next summer

I highly doubt that the current useless board will be so thick and short-sighted to go for Neymar next summer as their main transfer target.

By next summer he will be 28.5 years old with even less long-term perspective than currently. Both Messi and Suárez will be 33 years old as well. Griezmann 29.

Neymar won't be significantly cheaper next summer either unless he will continue to be injury prone which makes a potential transfer of his next summer even less sensible. Surely there has to be much better options out there by next summer?

Messi, Griezmann, Suárez, Dembélé (sure his recent injury is a setback but he will miss at most 3-4 games, not 5 months of football) and whatever other option that we can use (Rafinha, Carles Pérez etc.) should be enough this season. Even Firpo can play on the left upfront if needed in case everyone else is out at the same time (highly unlikely).

The point is that with Malmierda around, the current lot (squad wise) we won't be favorites for the CL with or without Neymar.
People thinking that the CL is a lock (as earlier in this thread) if we sign Neymar this summer are utter idiots.

We should be winning the league with or without Neymar as well and the CdR (with the new regulations in place) could be a lottery but quite frankly, we have won that trophy so many times in recent years that I won't mind not winning at all unless we are chasing a potential treble.

So it would be beyond silly to go all in on Neymar in the next 2 weeks in hope of landing him while "locking" your transfer budget for next summer. By next summer we should be looking at replacing several seniors. It would be an utter insane move to spend most of next summer's transfer budget on freaking Neymar of all players.

There’s a week left right?

13 days. The transfer window in Spain, France and Italy (Germany as well if I am not wrong) closes on September 2.

I'd rather that injury-prone from PSG than the one we currently have. At least Neymar performs on the pitch consistently when he's fit.

Ability doenst mean much , if him and Dembele are playing Monopoly in the hospital. Dude is already 27 , so chances of that improving are really low , but why not throw another 160 Mil away.

Yh , when he is fit , there is no doubt who the better player is. When fit

I'll say this though.

Fingers crossed Coutinho does well for Bayern. I would be happy selling him and Dembele for 70-80m each which should cover this transfer. Next year we have to move past Rakitic, Suarez and players like that and will need to do something to make moves in the transfer market.

Since Messi himself seemingly really want Neymar to return too, he should contribute some by taking a paycut. I don't want to start arguing with any of you about this, but while Messi probably deserves it, a 80m fixed salary and 108m in total with bonuses included for a 32 year player is way too much, especially with our problems with the wage budget.

If he comes he needs to change himself.

No more missing games to go to his sisters birthday party and needs to keep his personal life from affecting his performances on the field. Would also be nice of the Club De Amigos can actually keep him in check and instead of letting him do as he pleases.

Don't think he'll be a big problem with the Club de Amigos. Unlike some of them I believe he will be very motivated to win the CL and pretty much all major trophies. People have written him off and he's had two bad years in Paris. He'll be out to prove everyone wrong.

I am disappointed that some of the users whose opinions I value the most here are all in for Neymar to be back. Like, seriously...

It's a business transaction. Treat everything at this club as a business until 2021. Maybe Barca will recover its soul and guts then.

If anyone can be so shortsighted and buy a 200M player as an emergency because of 1 loss and a couple of injuries, it's us.

The border of Neymar being discarded from a transfer and going all in on him is paper thin and the side can change within a day.
