The limit should be 150-160m in total for Barcelona, and that's assuming Neymar takes a hefty paycut. If PSG want more, then just leave it. If he goes to Real Madrid he'll just prove what a piece of shit he is.

Best case scenario, it brings down this board and everyone associated with them so we can start fresh with a proper board, a proper sporting structure and people with an actual plan.

Sad about losing another year of Messi's valuable last seasons, but nothing you can do about it. Gotta look ahead.

Don't blame people that are against signing him, was in the same boat myself. Opinions and all that though.

Instead of fooling around with Neymar for the nth time, a player that screwed the club and is trying to do the same to PSG but is not man enough to say it, just like he wasn't man enough to say he wants out when at Barcelona, we should already be trying to discuss with potential managers for next season.

Every effort of our club should be to bring in a competent manager.

As things stand we might get the new one even before. After Suarez and Dembele injury anything is possible. Messi is still out, Griezmann still hasn't adapted so we could easily have one of the worst starts in years and hope he could get fired in hat case.

Yea, and we'll bring another idiot probably.

We splash hundreds of millions for young players and superstars, but when we have the secure a primed, world class manager we bring in somebody like Valverde.

Says it all really.

How about offloading Dembele and not getting Neymar? This team isn't winning CL either way, might as well take the hit in the short term, save the cash and spend it later. Barca can play a youngster in the meantime.

This team will be serious again after elections if the right candidate wins. As I said before, Messi will likely be done by the time this team competes again at the very top level.

Because we wouldn't have a real winger then.

We would be stuck having nothing but Forwards and no one to provide width bar Rafinha and maybe Perez but Rafinha is made out of glass and Perez is not good enough to be a starter here.

According to Cadena Ser, we offered 10 Million in loan fee and 170-80 Buyout option.

Yes, and the utter useless board is taking the piss already by chasing him but those numbers are insane. It is as if those braindead fools have not learnt anything from the Coutinho and Dembélé purchases. Why are we trying to repeat the same mistake (the chance of that happening is way too big to even gamble) with a 2 year older, much more injury prone (potentially with a chronic problem), much more controversial (his reputation has gone to shit) similarly unsettled (the same old Neymar that is behaving like a teenager while approaching 30 years, not having settled) etc. Neymar? The same Neymar that will most likely end up having a wage only second to that of Messi? Basically further strengthening the "club the amigos" clan as well?

It is beyond ridiculous. A narrow 1-0 defeat at San Mamés (one of the most difficult away games in a season against a Athletic team that has not lost at the San Mamés in almost 15 league games in a row), a stadium that we were incredibly lucky to end up drawing 0-0 last season (with Messi playing!), a short-term Suárez injury (he will be back in mid September before our fourth league game and first CL group stage game - the CL group stage is a waste of time anyway), a Messi injury (will be back on Sunday and if not the next weak against Osasuna at El Sadar) and Dembélé's injury (he will miss 4 league games at most and potentially 1 CL game).

Completely ridiculous reaction if you ask me but typical for your average football fan online. No offense but such desperation is hard to take seriously. We are still big favorites to win the league even without no sporting project in sight, the most terrible board of all the big clubs in Europe and probably the most clueless manager as well. RM is RM but it would be embarrassing to lose the league to them over the span of 38 games and Atlético is Atlético, even more so the current version which is a completely new team, almost. It would be embarrassing to lose the league regardless of what occurs. There are 37 rounds left. Not saying that us winning the league is a lock but there is a reason why we are the favorites among all bookies. Even after losing the first game.

I am disappointed that some of the users whose opinions I value the most here are all in for Neymar to be back. Like, seriously...

This isn't a team anymore though. It's a group of talented individuals who make the difference.

Messi - 85% of the time
The rest - 15% of the time

If this is the way we are under Valverde, it makes sense to add Neymar because he will bring huge individual quality.
