That would be way too much if that 40 mil loan fee isn't deducted from the 160 obligation clause.

Neymar's current book value is ~132 mil

PSG signed him for 220 on a 5 year contract.

220 / 5 = 44

44 * 2 = 88

220 - 88 = 132

---

We shouldn't go that much above that considering Neymar irrevocably wants out and no one else wants/can afford him.

But when you amortize the cost of a player over the length of a contract you include salary

Of course we are going to get ripped off with the current clowns doing the negotiation for us. This useless board has proven to be an utter failure time and time again. We currently hold the world record in terms of the most absurd and at the same time most costly transfer (Coutinho) and likewise the current world record in terms of getting rid of that same player (Coutinho) a mere 1.5 years later for peanuts.

Your average FBI agent with no clue about football would probably do a better job negotiating for Neymar.

We are turning into a laughing stock as a club. It is reaching tragic heights.

Apparently PSG want 50-60m loan fee with mandatory purchase of 170m-180m bringing the total to 220-240m. That is way too much.

Considering Bayern got Coutinho for a year for 8 million or so and no commitment to purchase a year later rather just an option, no wonder PSG also wants to cash in... Wouldnt be surprised if this board falls for this too and tries to justify how good a deal it is :bartomeu:

You can see why we don't want to do a mandatory buy after 1 year and you can see why they do want to do that..... with all of Neymar's injuries in the last 2 years. It's whoever blinks first.

Look how much we spent on Dembele and Coutinho combined and look how that turned out. Neymar will be worth the money

like he was worth it for PSG?

Far more likely he gets injured again or he and his massive ego decide they want something else like he has already done so twice before

Lets hope he stays where he belongs, in plastic club PSG.

No they're not.

But they did in the past what we're doing now. See how that ends.

That is exactly what they are. They are privately owned. On top of my head I cannot mention a single English or Italian top division club that is owned by socios (club members). This is more a Spanish/Portuguese/German concept if anything.

Yes, there are some similarities but it won't ever end as badly even without Messi. Barça and RM have grown so huge (two most famous and most followed clubs in the world with the 2 biggest economies) that they will likely never fall to such lows nor be allowed to do so.

A simple question, do you ever see Barça or RM ending outside of the top 4, because I don't.

Neymar and PSG are made for each other in more than one way. Such a shame that a divorce looks likely.
