Again it s not about emotions. You view business differently than i do, that s all. Your views are largely depended on wishful thinking and best case scenarios, mine are based on facts. Facts are
his exit was ugly and his body is broking down. His mentality is questionable (nice way of putting it) and i don t see a reason why this would change. I don t see a reason why he wouldn t repeat all this shit in a couple of years. And we d just repeat the Neydrama cycle. Again.
My views are far from wishful thinking. His injury risk we both agree on, it is a big risk. His mentality being "questionable" is your personal opinion and again has more to do with his off field antics. If he returns he won't leave again in the same manner at all imo, him returning is him accepting that Barca is the best place for him and PSG was a mistake, I think he will be out there to prove the doubters wrong too.
Sporting reasons: Based on what? He doesn't have any winning history as the main man. Add to this his injuries and the probability of success is lowered.
What's being the main man got to do with anything? I never mentioned that... of course he wouldn't be the main man here with Messi around and he's realised that after his attempt at PSG to do that. Also Neymar is still an unbelievable player.. people who claim Neymar isn't anymore are hilarious.
Marketing reasons: I m not an expert, but i highly doubt it, that the marketing income exceeds the costs of his purchase and paycheck. If i m wrong, ok than...at least there s that.
Wow, c'mon man... that sounds like those dumb fans who say "his shirt sales made up the cost of him". No ones suggesting his marketing would exceed his cost, but it would increase revenue for sure. Example, here in the UK this is the first season La Liga hasn't got a broadcaster for the whole season because there were no sufficient bids. Last year was the first year without Sky having it too and it was a joke split between 3 broadcasters. Ronaldo left at the start of that year... coincidence? Not saying Ronaldo is the main reason UK broadcasters didn't bid high enough for La Liga rights but think of all the United/PL fans who watched La Liga because of Ronaldo. Same applies to Neymar, he's a big attraction for La Liga.
Regarding ex players not bothered by his exit... There are also ex players who are bothered, yes? Of course to you it makes more sense to identify with the ones, who share your view.
I've only seen Stoichkov against the Neymar transfer, don't know if there's any more. But he isn't as "Barca" as those 3, that's why I didn't put Rivaldo in the same category. Of course I would identify with them most, being part Catalan myself lol
In any case, i hope i m wrong and he finally grows up and his health is stable.
Hope he does, if he comes.
