I think injuries destroyed him, he is still god but nothing compared to his peak years between 2015-2018.

He did get to the final but hardly by playing the best teams in europe. Dortmund, Atalanta and Leipzig. Yes, you can only beat who you face but prior to this relatively easy run PSG and neymar have been getting knocked out early on when against strong opposition.

There is element of luck in a CL.
If you try for a few years in a row, eventually you will win one tough tie, have an easy draw in the next round and you are already in semis.

In the last 7-8 years, any semidecent team reached CL final at least once:
Spain: Real, Barca, Atletico
EPL: City, Liverpool, Tottenham, maybe even Chelsea tonight
Germany: Bayern
France: Psg
Italy: Juventus

Out of top10-12 clubs in Europe, only Man Utd hasn't reached a final from 2015-2022.

So, I wouldn't rate reaching CL final that much. Everyone will reach it eventually if they keep trying for 5-10 years in a row.
