Watch this beauty:

The number of misplaced passes. Don't think he actually manages to successfully take on a player here at all...? The attempted shots, lol. Dumb losses of possession. Stopped watching halfway through. Clearly romanticized due to nostalgia.

This isn't even hard. I'm simply clicking the "Ronaldinho vs" videos youtube's recommending.

Cope harder boomers.

The first minute shows R10 creating three goal scoring chances for his teammates. What are you talking about?

If only Brazilians had the discipline of Germans. Their desire to party and be flashy will always be the downfall.

Everyone functions differently but all the greatest geniuses across human history in any category always had a shadow looming on them. That’s why they are called troubled geniuses.

Ronaldinho on his day was breathtaking, especially from 04-06 but in 15 years time once Neymar has long retired there will be football fans discussing how Neymar was untouchable etc.

Retired players are always romanticised, probably because as humans looking back brings nostalgia and a connection to a certain time in your life that you will never experience again.

Nostalgia is there for sure, but there is also recency bias.
Players like Xavi, Kaka and Ronaldinho themselves were a bit overrated in the all time least in comparison to where they are after they have retired.
Can argue that same will happen with Neymar once he is retired. Same will likely happen with players like Neuer & Suarez once they are retired

Like I said, in the grand scheme of things, which obviously includes more than just listing a bunch of "stats" as an inside left, if we were to switch all 3 in our 3 cl winning teams at their peak, we would likey still have won the CL on all those occasions, people acting like he carried us on his back to win the CL, we had an inform messi & Suarez up front, plug a informed villa of pedro with those two guys, they are going to pop still.

Also because we didn't have a prime xavi doesn't make that midfield shit, rakitic was excellent for us that season, he brought his excellent form from the 2014 WC right into that season, it want prime iniesta and busquets but they were from from average that season, Luis just had us playing a lot more vertically, transitioning the ball upfront a lot faster than we did in previous seasons, just don't that midfield confused with the ones that game after it, when Luis went full loco.

Better player than both obviously, did he bring more to us than villa & perdo when we won Cl with those guys, if he did it wasn't by much.

Is he better than Ronaldinho, helllll no
Better than villa, Pedro & Mbappe, helll yeaaaeaa,

Neymar better than David Villa in his prime? Debatable at least. People forget who David Villa was before joining Barca as left attacker. Lethal. Also carried Spain tot the World Cup, he was the only one able to tranfsorm that possesion into goals.

0:28 clear shot on goal, 0:43 through ball to Eto'o in a good position, just was slightly heavy, 0:47 cheeky backheel to Eto'o, leaving Eto'o with open space to have a good shot on target.

GOAT match btw. You can't complain about this performance

Few years after Neymar retires, people will say about him like Ronaldinho, a Joga Bonito player. Of course Ronaldinho will be rated higher even his prime is short.

Neymar now, imo, can not reach the level people expected him back then. Don't think he has enough of consistency to play the whole season, plus injury problem. He fits an one month tournament like Copa or World cup more.

If that so, he missed a lot, just like Neymar in El Classico for 2:0 (and La liga title).

Boomers: 1946-1964
Generation x: 1964-1980
Generation Y: 1981+

It is an ageist expression used a lot by millennials and generation Z, especially in USA.
For whatever reason, they blame that generation for all their problems.

It is basically like saying grandpa or old fart. Or sharing "old man yelling at cloud" meme.

It's not about age, it's about your state of mind. 40 year olds are millenials lol.

If you're busy constantly writing up paragraphs about how "men were real men back in the day, and played real football" over the course of half a decade then you're a boomer.
If you're 45 and you don't prop up your entire list of favorite players you had while growing up as total supermen current players wouldn't dare imagine to match themselves against then you're chill.

If you're the exact opposite, like BBZ, then you're very much an "old man shouting at clouds" type guy. Sorry mate.
