he's a fantastic player but given Pedro's season being a confirmation, Bojan improving (and having the backing of the coaches) and Afellay looking very promising as a supersub, Neymar just doesn't doesn't fit in our front line. I hope he goes somewhere that can nuture his talents correctly, because he's even better than Robinho was at that age.
Ganso is bananas. I think he'll be brilliant wherever he goes.
They have more swagger than I the entire Brazilian team had in the last 4-5 years, so refreshing. But to have shit attitude so early in their careers is a bit of a red flag but hey, these are Brazilians. Shit attitude is never going to change, it would be managed. Eto'o has one of the worst attitudes in Europe but he has been lucky to have had coaches who have managed it in the most proper way to turn him into top 3 strikers of the decade.
Everything is poisonous but nothing is poisonous. Neymar may have an attitude but if surrounded with a healthy surrounding and keep him busy he will blossom. Same goes for Ganso.
The question here though that comes up is why should anyone deal with such attitudes in the first place when talent is in abundance and there are players out there who work really hard. Simply because they define a generation. Ronaldinho was only good for 4-5 years of his career but he had Barcelona going on for much longer than that, even when he left. Players like Neymar or Ganso (especially the latter) who bring samba bring life and heat.
Players love training with them, love watching them play, attract attention and attract and when they perform an ever lasting sense of joy is instilled. I am not saying these players will flourish or become anything special, but for someone who grew up on football mid 90s, I am still attached to personalities like Romario (Brazil 94).
There was a certain element of defiance which is lacking in Europe's football these days, the sort of players who did what they wanted, whenever they wanted because they wanted and they did what they wanted. You know why? Because they earned it.
Then again, I love capable players who are bad asses. In Neymar and Ganso I see street talent which is baller. I just hope they are surrounded with the proper teams under proper coaches. But they need the Hierro's, the Dungas, the Puyols to pull the strings in when they stray far away.
