He is talented a little bit more than Robinho but he is of the same mould ..
give him 3-5 years in Europe before heading back to Santos

This boy is never a Barcelona player. He is talented, but his attitude and work rate is far from the Barca standard

So, apparently we are still interested in Neymar.

He is a difficult one to judge. His abilities and style could fit us perfectly. He could rule the left side like Ronaldinho once did and if he developed as a player as he very well could no defense in the world could hold Messi, Neymar and a third hardworking striker, backed up be a central midfield with the likes of Xavi, Iniesta, Cesc or Thiago. He can create a goal own his own like Messi, take on a cuple of defenders and so on.

Tragically, he just seems to be a complete idiot with an oversize ego, and he would really have to get that under control if he should wear the Barca shirt. Otherwise it's not worth the risk. And tragecally for him Barca would be the far best place for him to play, because here he could learn and his style could fit much better than at chelsea. He is almost designed to be the next great left attacker in Barca. Perhaps Pep has the authority to bring him down to earth, but it's risky.

I do feel though, that he could really become the second best attacking player in the world - nobody will beat Messi as long as he's around.

Since Maradona, I don't remember a single player coming to Barca straight from SA that made it here.

Thank you.
No, fair enough... and it is a huge gamble. But that guy will not be bought by a second rate european club first - he will go straight to a first rate, like Chelsea, us, Milan, RM or the likes. If he make it there his prize goes through the roof, otherwise it's hard to say what will happen - a Robinho type failure probably, which he could easily be even if he makes it at first. But I see him as the star of Brazil 2014 - if he makes it, and whoever has him there keeps him!

Great great goal against the Scotts

He's good but runs a lot into defenders. Of course that would go with a bit more maturity

he's a phenom.

y'haveta say, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the World if we signed him.

tbh it all depends where he goes/how he is advised.

Robinho wasn't treated as well as he could have been by Schuster, and then his agent completely abused that and ruined his career.

if Neymar goes to a club that will treat him right, that'll be a big thing, but if his agent only makes good moves for his career that will be massive.

he may still turn out to be a cock, but with better surroundings you never know.

he's also physically bigger and stronger than Robinho, so is better suited to European football.

It's never easy to predict these things but Neymar has so far demonstrated all the trappings of a Balotelli - I see little to suggest he will be anything other than a self absorbed prima donna that will kill team unity when the chips are down

Uber talented but precisely the sort of head case Barca doesn't need, IMO
