Every player develops at there own pace, happy for him.

He won't be 27 and still in the development phase.

FDJ isnt and been a big boost to team back fit chief.

He was voted European Midfielder of year in CL not much older than Nico and been very good for Barca since. Voted player of season under Koeman and then key player in League win. Who can forget how he ran the game v Real to win 2-1 and the title. Good times.

Players like Pedri develop when those that understand how they should play play them there and not those that think Gundogan and Gavi are better than him in position playing now.

Nico is already a lot better than Gavi though.

Indeed players can develop. Look at Rodri.. a player you claimed was not good enough only a few years ago.

Shame to lose him given the buyback clause we had was respectable.

Pep made some fast moves this market to get ahead of the Summer competition. Nico, Vitor Reis and Marmoush would have had competition then. Probably Uzbek too.

Oh and on a sidenote, surely this confirms that Zubimendi had the squeeky bum to move again.

And yeah, Bernal has more potential, but F knows how he returns after such a long time out. He's also been a bit prone in LaMasia with 4/5 months out last season or the one before so...

Embarrassing to say the club needs midfield reinforcements and then send Nico out for 6m without given a chance.

Never gave Casado a shot too.

Xavi knew ball and potential in players generally, but fuck me did he not know midfielders. Which is ironic.

It was never Bernal or Nico though.

It was Gavi or Nico, and they believed in Gavi's potential and current ability back then more than Nico's which is why he first went out on a loan and then later sold to Porto.

Nico took his time to develop obviously and we'll see in a couple of years if they bet on the wrong horse.

Xavi did next to nothing for development of Gavi and hopefully he can get back on track. He indulged his running act and quality fell.

Same with Pedri.. didnt develop and was wasted on park too often while being victim of Xavis training fitness wise.

How do we need Midfielder reinforcements.

Gavi
De jong
Fermin
Olmo
Pedri
Bernal
Torres.

If we sell no one we are covered for years.

For every casado there is a fermin.

Yeah thats on club more for losing control of Nico as players that size can take a bit of time to settle and develop a bit later.

They sold him as wanted money to pay for likes of Gundogan.

Although Nico was not great at Valencia nor in first season at Porto and club in not bad position to take him back next summer if believed in him... but City imploded.

For every casado there is a fermin.

-Bernal and Gavi are returning from major injury.

-Torre is last squad option on way out.

-FdJ as things stand is out 2026.

-Fermin and Olmost injured are both attacking mids, and the latter will probably be injured.

So double pivot 2026 is Pedri, Casado, [Bernal?]

Nico would have had a spot.

All ifs though, the loan done amazing things for Nico as it seems the first 6 months made him put his ass in gear, stop the partying and become a proper footballer.

Thing is we never really needed to spend 4.5m on Romeu and ship Nico for 6m. But hey, maybe it all works for the best as we got a big of money for renewals and still have Bernal to return

We will see.

Casado is very unlikely to be long term starter for Barca and Bernal needs time to prove what he will be.

If FDJ goes then would think they get in another midfielder.
